great lunch specials 4/16/2006

Jade palace is a great place for vegetarians. They have a lot of tofu entrees. One of their best is the sesame tofu dish. They also have really good lunch specials. Dinner prices are a lot higher for the same dishes offered at lunch. The service is really friendly and it's a perfect family restaurant. more

Carrboro Favorite 9/3/2005

Jade Palace is one of my favorite dinner spots around Carrboro. Their food is delicious - a definite cut above the usual seedy Chinese food joint. I have a friend who never liked chinese food before - until she went to Jade Palace. This one restaurant changed her mind about the whole idea. I especially like thier chicken fried rice (or any flavor fried rice, really). Their food is never too greasy and always has good flavor. It's not the cheapest Chinese restaurant around, but it's definitely worth the extra few dollars. more

Great Food! 8/13/2005

This restaurant is one of my favorites. The chinese food is great and the vegetables are literally always fresh. My favorite dish, Vegetarian's Delight, always fills me up and leaves me with a sense of satisfaction after completing the meal. The service was adequate and the wait period was surprising short (compared to other chinese restaurants). My family considers their meat dishes to also be extraordinary. more

Chinese food in Carrboro 8/12/2005

This is a decent Chinese restaurant in downtown Carrboro. They have good lunch specials, and there are white tablecloths on the tables. I wouldn't say that it's the best Chinese food I've ever eaten, but it certainly was okay. It's much better than those places with the flourescent pictures of the food, and probably the best option if you are near downtown Carrboro and don't want to travel far. more
