Jacksonville Medical Center

I had my daughter at JMC October 1, 2005 and was very happy with the outcome. I was skeptical at first because of having my baby in Jacksonville and not at RMC, but because of my doctor and his staff I knew I would be well taken care of. During the delivery everyone was helpful and assisted me in having her. After she was born they gave me a lot of freebies, took care of her while I got some sleep, bathed her, and even took tons of pictures of her. Everything went very well. The only thing that I wasn't happy with was the morning nurse the day we were leaving. She was rude and didn't help us at all. She hadn't been there during my stay and I was very disappointed in her. She didn't help me get out of the wheelchair she was just too worried about getting back inside. My husband and I had to figure out how to get the car seat adjusted so she took our child back inside while we tried to figure it out. Then she didn't even check it. Plus we didn't get any pictures. Other than that it was a pleasant stay just not her. more

My cousin delivered her daughter at Jacksonville in the fall of last year. She delivered on a Saturday morning and she and one other lady were the only two patients on the maternity ward so she got more attention then most new mommies get. They were very sweet and kind to her and took about 50 pictures of her daughter with their digital camera and printed her off a few before she left. They also provided her with great freebies and wonderful advice. I was very impressed at how far Jacksonville Hospital has come in the last few years. more
