When we get to Jack & Diane's and right away I feel a good vibe. There was so much to describe about this...

Worst

food and service is mediocre. With so many good restaurants in fernandina do not waste your time.

We stumbled upon Jack and Dianes on accident but, were taken by surprise by Sarah's outgoing personality. We' re both servers, so we know good service when we see it. Sarah and the food was outstanding; we hope to have this dining experience again in the future. more

joyful experience 7/8/2011

I came here alone the first time & read and found a little peace. I sat outside with a New York times and an old literature study book. The porch was what drew me in. In 7 days I will be a resident here and this restaurant will always stand as a comfort spot for me. The act of serving is a natural joyful experience for me and I feel it reciprocated here. Thank you. more

W reside here in Fern Beach. We both love walking to the Farmers Market on Sat. Morn. We were excited when Jack and Diane's opened. We were even more excited that the service is fast!! Your staff is friendly and always professional, your atmosphere is Great. We also love John Cougar. How many memories can you think of growing up in the 80's that dont include a J. Cougar song? We'll of course see you soon. more

Love this place. Love the Jack and Diane theme. Here for breakfast-eggs were perfect. My boyfriend is going to go into a coma after eating the huge breakfast burrito! Great service. more

I ate here with a friend one night and we shared some "quesarittos" which were similar to a quesadilla, but these "quesarittos" were bursting at the seams with yummy. It also came with a three bean salad I believe it was, which was an odd combination, but I loved it nonetheless. My friend didn't enjoy it so much but I could really appreciate the tangy sauce the beans came in with cranberries, I believe they were, to add sweetness. It was delicious. I've heard a lot of bad things about this place but I checked it out for myself and I really enjoyed it. The food was delicious and the menu was HUGE. If someone goes there and can't find something they want to try, they are just being PERSNICKETY! more

alot for a little 6/20/2011

Hey we tried a bunch of stuff here and it was all great. They had a vegetarian sandwich that is stuffed with so many flavors I couldn't name them all. What I like best is that they are happy to work with people with allergies. Dad has a gluten alergy and they even had a dessert for him. On day two, we ate off the Tasting menu, which has a lot of variety so we could all pick something we liked and pass them around to share. It's like a tapas menu only it has things like, Nachos, French Toast, Thai Salad, Mac-n-cheese, Jambalaya...so you can really get alot for a little. We also tried a Vegan pizza with the best vegan cheese I have ever tried. more

the perfect little spot 6/16/2011

Jack & Diane's is located in historic downtown Fernandina Beach on Centre Street across the street from the Fernandina's Farmers Market (that is held on Saturday's).Jack & Diane's is the perfect little spot to grab a bite to eat. Hubby and I sit on the wrap around porch on Saturday's after going to the Farmer's Market to try one of their 'Mini' samplers. The samplers are just smaller portions of what is offered on their full sized menu. Just something to try out, in the event you're not that hungry or if you just want to try something on the full sized menu but as a 'mini.' Hubby and I have tried many of them: From the Grits in a Breakfast Bowl, pancake mini to the Mini Shrimp and Crab pasta. Service is slower on Saturday's when the market is going on but the food comes out hot and the tables are always full. We will continue to try the mini-samplers until we've tried them all! more

Super good 6/15/2011

I had the "adult" mac and cheese. Super good. My niece liked the hot dog kid's meal. Service was great. They served all kinds of beer by the bottle. I don't drink beer but my sister partook. There is porch seating and a handicapped ramp. Prices were good. I recommend and will definitely return when I visit my sister again. more

The first downfall of this place is they don't have sweet tea. They gave me regular tea and some "simple syrup" to add to taste. Not quite what I was going for. Kind of a bummer but the rest of the experience was great. more

Crepes are a traditional dish 5/27/2011
