This salon is absolutely wonderful! I just moved here and was looking for a full-service salon where I could go to have everything done at one place (hair, waxing, mani/pedi), and Jabez exceeded my expectations. They exemplify the meaning of the word ""team,"" everyone working together to take care of the client, and you know from the moment you walk in the door that you are in good hands. And, the fact that they are a Bumble and Bumble Salon (my all-time favorite product line) just makes me grin from ear to ear! I've lived in Chicago, LA, Las Vegas, San Francisco, and numerous other places, and this salon is the crème de la crème! And the staff couldn't be any friendlier (non-pretentious) and sweet. I wanted to try someplace new, and found Jabez by reading numerous online reviews. I was able to get an appointment right away, and am so glad that it was with Summer. She listened attentively to what I told her about my hair texture, routine, etc., and took the picture I brought in seriously. I ended up with a super cute version of the picture that was suited to my hair. I also loved that the stylists here continue to take classes at Bumble and Bumble and that Summer used a lot of new techniques while cutting my hair. I've already been getting compliments and sending people to her. I also liked that the salon had a young, hip feel combined with great customer service. My girlfriend bought us both double treatments via Groupon and our first visit was last week. We had a shampoo, cut & blowout. Tara was extremely helpful and it's evident she's very good at what she does. She offered us a lot of great tips to maintain and style our hair at home. EVERYONE there was extremely professional, helpful and friendly. We're going back there this Wednesday for a makeup consultation session and are so excited. This is a great place to go as they do hair, make up, AND mani&pedi's! I highly recommend coming in to see Tara. Pros: The excellent customer service. Cons: It's a bit of a drive but, whatever! more

I had a similar experience as meowmix, but it sounds like I had someone in a different stylist level. When you get a haircut that was vastly different than what you asked for, you don't want to make the effort to complain and get a worse hair cut the next time around, on top of that, get attitude about it. They have your personal information, etc...it's just not worth it. I asked for a certain hair style and even brought a bunch of pictures, very specific on what I wanted. When I washed my own hair the next day, I could tell the haircut was all choppy and uneven, it came out all weird, as if I hadn't had a haircut in months!! The person who shampoo'd my hair didn't shampoo my hair from the roots to ends, just the hair part so my scalp was itchy. This place also asks clients to rate their salon online ""truthfully"" and give you a discount for your review whether it be positive or negative. If they're checking people's reviews online and you write your honest review, the next time you go into that salon (if you gave it less than a 5-star) how do you think they would treat you? The only types of reviews people can post are the uber positive ones. Who wants to spend over $100 to have a bad hair cut, right? I went once and I don't think I'll be going back. I have been going to Jabez Salon for the past 5 years and I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a place that is clean, friendly and helpful. They use Bumble and Bumble Hair products, Dermalogica skin care and Jane Iredale makeup, I am hooked on all three. My current stylist is Summer, she cuts my hair and my 9 year old daughters hair. She treats my 9 year old the same as any other customer and she loves to go and get pampered. Their skin care and waxing are also A++++. Salon Jabez has an excellent product for people with grey hair to get you through till your next appointment. Its a spray hair powder. My can has lasted for a year now. I just style my hair and then spray the powder where my grey shows and wolaa! You can't get the powder anywhere near hear except salon Jabez, Pros: covering your grey hair! I loved my first visit to Jabez. After spending 15-20 minutes discussing what I wanted and what the stylist thought would be good for me I got a great cut and color. I especially appreciated the time that the stylist took teaching me how to blow dry my hair to look like I had just come from the salon. I can do my own hair and have good results for the first time ever!! It is a bit uncomfortable as they try to sell you all of their services and products......but all shops do that so it won't keep me from coming back. Jabez Salon is an amazing salon! They are very high class without the snob factor. They have high quality products for great prices and a hairdresser to fit every style, budget and personality. Tara is my hairdresser and I LOVE her. I am always changing my hair and she goes along with me helping mesh all the styles I like together to fit me. I would highly recommend Jabez Salon! I have been going to Jabez Salon since it opened & would not trust my hair to any other Salon. All the stylists are great and really know what they are talking about. I came to your salon today to purchase Jane Iredale products recommended by my esthetician, June Von Sauers, who works at Salon Chante Spa in Brea. I had a very wonderful experience with the two lovely girls who helped me...Summer and Courtney. They could not have been nicer, I felt they were very knowledgeable, encouraging and, above all, they were not at all intimidating like women in department stores can be. I disagree with the negative posting, if you know exactly what you want and unsure where to go you need to research salons .... or go to an experienced stylist and pay the going skill level rate or see the owner of any salon and see who meets your needs and go to that stylist. I found Jabez Salon VERY helpful in deciding what hair color I needed the cut trimmed up and all the encouragement from the entire staff.\r I love the style and my new color! Cindi and her staff are excellent, I would reccomend anyone looking for great suggestions on what color or style is good for you, to visit the salon. WOW!!! I could easily run out of superlatives when I describe my experience at this salon, especially after quite a number of disappointing experiences at other hair salons in Yorba Linda and Anaheim. Moreover, it is quite probably one of the best hair salons I have ever been to, in either Canada or the US. I recently received a superb hair cut and excellent root colour & highlights from Tara whom I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone I know --- and all of my friends, like me, are very particular about their hair. Although it was my first visit, I spent quite a while there and I had the distinct impression that pretty much everyone who worked there was a consummate professional with excellent people skills. I was truly and very pleasantly astounded because I cannot recall ever being in a hair salon where I received the kind of friendly attention and interest, from the receptionist to the owner, that I received at Jabez. And, on top of all of that, they really know hair and products. Tara took the time to really consult with me about my hair. She talked to me as if she valued my input, too, in the whole process. And then she delivered first-class results. The overall tone of this salon is very professional and first-class and their genuine friendliness is very refreshing. Jabez Hair Salon is possibly one of Yorba Linda's best-kept secrets but I'm glad to share this wonderful discovery with any woman who wants to have great hair. Okay , so i've really debated the past 2 weeks if I should post on here or not. I mean, who wants to be the first person to be the wet cloth on a fire? Like you, I went on citysearch to hopefully find a reasonable salon within a few miles from my house, especially with great reviews like this one! I said the hell with it i'll take my chances plus I really needed my hair done (I was going out of town the same night to a wedding!)\r My hair was really, really, heavy. All I wanted was to take the weight off and trim a little bit of the dead ends. I didn't ask for a completely different hairstyle, and thats what the stylist (no names) ended up doing for me!\r \r So I called, the receptionist had asked me if it was my first time I said yes. I asked her who she recommended and I also mentioned I didnt want to spend $100 and up. So she says, ""Oh i would recommend so and so shes a stylist 1 which means she doesnt charge as much as the other stylist."" So i asked this receptionist girl, okay so besides the price what else is the difference, i mean afterall if im going to a ''cheaper'' stylist id get not as well as of a result as i would want, im assuming at least. she says ""No nothing at all! They are all the same! They all cut the same. The ONLY ONLY difference is the prices."" So i asked her again, okay are you sure? Shes like ""Yeah, they're all great and all have the same style."" \r So I of course believed it. I got there, and yes their salon is nice and professional. I believe the owner was there (after seeing a picture of her on the website), she didnt seem too welcoming, not even a hello. \r Anyways she washed my hair with that bumble and bumble hair product which was wonderful. \r The cut was another story. I had asked her to cut the weight off my hair and lessen the layers i had from my previous hairstyle. She said ok. THEN she started cutting, from the look of her face i didn't think she knew what the hell she was doing. I felt like those head maniquins. shes like ""oh yeah im going to even it out around your head its going to look so cute!!"" my hair originially when i got there was a little bit past my shoulders. when i left the place it looked like my mom took a freakin bowl and cut around it. I almost cried when she was done. I couldnt even look in the mirror. The weight was heavy there were longer pieces than others. the bangs were retarded. I didnt want to say anything because i didnt want to hurt her feelings. I got charged $51...$51 for what! Anyways im speaking now because honeslty, i had to go out of my way and find another salon at the state i was VISITING to have it fixed. my friends even asked me why the front part of my hair was up to my chin and the rest past my neck. it was ridiculous. \r Im not going to risk my money and time anymore based on citysearch reviews. It is a wonderful family run salon. All the stylist are extremely gifted in their ability to style and color hair. I would recommend them to anyone. Upon the recommendation of my beautiful daughter-in-law I scheduled a haircut with Kay. She did a wonderful job. Actually, everyone at work has noticed! And, it was such a nice atmosphere. I love Jbez salon. The stylist are always up to date on the latest trends and styles. I am always treated with great customer service, and never left unattended.
