JT's West Coast Gutter LLC

I work for a general contractor and we have used west coast roofing and gutter on at least 5 jobs that i'm aware of. Doug has given me quotes on several jobs as part of larger projects too. As an estimator i too have to get several bids before i go back to the customer with a quote for the overall project if i want to be competitive. Their prices have always been competitive and i trust their work. Pros: fair pricing and quality work more

Poor communications, shoddy work, doesn't return telephone calls OR keep appointments. It took three (3) attempts to come remotely close to what their own estimator had drawn on plan for work to be done. The estimator told me personally that he is on the job site at start of project - which i had no reason to doubt - he's never been back to my house - according to their office and the three (3) different workmen assigned to my simple 16' job w/down spout. They were quick to inform me when i called about getting inital estimate that they have a $300 minimum - if i had time i could have gone to Home Depot for $30, which i have since done. Expensive and disappointing lesson learned - DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT USING THIS PIXX POOR BIZ - they're are plenty of other's to throw a dart at in the Yellow pages! And - NO, I am NOT a competitor bad-mouthing them; West Coast Gutter belongs IN the gutter! Cons: They dont deserve the 1 star only because rating is required more

I am writing this partly to respond to the review obviously by one of there competitors. This review below where the person said they worked there & was hired in a couple of minutes of the street is Completely False. I know that they have a illegal substance test & background check to complete that takes a day or two. I am contractor who has worked with West Coast Gutter for the last decade. I can always depend on them to get the job done right. I have had all of my families homes done by them and all have been very happy with there new gutters and there function. As I read this persons review I realized this review was written January 15, 09 of last year! If you remember there was 10 Plus inches of Snow & Ice on the ground, this right there proves it a LIE. No one was working much at all at that time and most of us contractors were lying off people. I know that no gutters were being installed in these conditions. This persons review as a past worker is completely false & an out right Lie. This was a bad attempt by one of there competitors to drive business away from (West Coast Gutter one of the top gutter companies), and possibly to there business. I urge you not pass over a good company I have used and trusted with my company reputation & my families homesfor years,from my Mothers home to sons & daughters, Friends / Family always Curious & nice. I am writing this review in hopes of saving people time and money.I worked for this company maybe two months.I walked off the street was hired in 30 minutes without any construction or gutter knowledge at all.I was hired because of a friend that works there. He knew of my work ethics and wanted a hard worker on his team.I was hanging gutter on someones property 2 hrs later not having a clue what I was doing.I quit this job because of lack of Management,very poor customer service,and the lack of training and safety guidelines.There is good employees that work there,but once management gets a hold of your money you are not important anymore.Trust me I have seen this in the inner workings.Please read the other reviews and try and stay focused on the customer reviews. The only good reviews they have got @ the time of this writing 1/15/09 are from them selves and there sponsored friends. I called after the recent snow storm because my gutters were servely damaged and my basement was flooding due to the downspouts and gutters I was in a pickle and facing some serious home damage!! I called one day recived my estimate the next day by a very friendly and knowledgeable sales man doug, and Had my gutters replaced 2 days later! Pros: promt valueable service. friendly. Cons: NOTHING more

Because this worthless company has wasted so much of my time, I have very little more to write than the other one star responses. It seems we all had the same experience. This company will tell you they will show up and you will never hear from them again, unless you call back after you wait around all day for their arrival. It took three days to get them to show up. Now that I need warranty work for the leaking and un-level gutters with standing water, they again set up appointments that they don't show up for and never call back. I can't believe this is a legitimate business, DO NOT CONTRACT WITH THIS COMPANY. Pros: Not having to ever work with them again. Cons: Everything. Horrible service and product. more

I had West Coast gutter come out to look at my failing gutters. The estimator Doug called before coming out and then help me choose a gutter that increased the amount of water it can handle.This gutter has worked out so well I no longer have flooding in my basement when its storming out. The men that came out did a great job and worked very hard to get thing right the first time. I have recommended West coast Gutter to my family and everyone has been very happy with the work and staff. I find them to be true craftsmen doing great work. I can recommend them with confidence. WORST EVER. Had only the house front done, did not match existing gutters despite multiple promises that they would match EXACTLY. Gutters leak. They slope about 4"" below the downspout (so they hold a ton of water, almost overflowing). They did not put gutters under the roof flashing (they just put them over the top, which explains why they got the slope wrong). They missed half of the rafters when they nailed them up, surprised the gutters haven't fallen off the house. I only wish you could give zero stars. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID! more

We called them numerous times to use their service and it took them about two weeks to get back to us... after they got back to us they keep saying they would call us back and NEVER did. After reading the reviews here I decided to cancel my service. There are many other gutter companies out there.... DO NOT USE THEM more

This is possibly the worst company/gutters/service ever existed. First off their estimator guy has a bad attitude. Second, the gutters leaks as if nothing was ever installed, what they should have done was caulk it in the first place, apparently the pros don't know common sense. Third, the worst customer service because when I called them for a repair, they say they will call me back. What they acutally meant was they will call you back next week. Cons: None existing customer service, estimater was rude, installer was carless, above all the GUTTERS LEAK! more
