This Jo-Ann store has excellent sales and prices on just about everything. Be sure to sign up for their mailed flyer to get coupons and notification of sales. Patterns routinely go on sale for $1.99 each. Their thread goes 50% off periodically. Fabrics can often be found on sale, and the fabric selection is pretty good. They have some lower quality and most of it is mid range in quality, adequate for most of my needs.
The store itself tends to not be as well kept, i.e., the floor tends to be dusty and a bit dirty at times. The restroom is not well kept at all, especially the mens from from what my husband tells me when our toddler needs to use it. A couple times it was so bad I actually did notify management there.
The service from the employees is adequate to good generally. The biggest problem seems to be there are not enough of them and the line at the cutting table can get very very long, especially during sales, taking up to 20 minutes one time for me. The line at the registers is bad too. They simply do not seem to be adequately staffed at all.
Selection of notions and sewing materials is good. They also have a few aisles of scrapbooking/paper/stamps. Yarn selection seems good (I do not knit but friends do). General "garden" and decorating takes up a portion of the store and I rarely buy from that. Their after holiday sales are superb.
As one of the few fabric stores around, I recommend it, but it really could use some improvements in management (cleanliness, staffing).
