We had previously called JM Electric to get a bid to repair some electrical in our basement from the previous home owners, but had not had a chance to use their services until now. We had an issue in our garage and needed some immediate assistance so we called JM and they fit us in within an hour and sent Jeff to our house who they stated was here before. Jeff called prior to coming out so we knew exactly when he would be here. I discussed our issue (as I'm pretty handy and generally don't pay anyone to do anything and would rather do things myself) and immediately Jeff had some ideas. He started pulling some outlets and realized the severity of the situation. The circuit was overloaded by an error made by the previous owners of the house and Jeff diagnosed it within 10 minutes of arriving. He decided to cut a few strategic holes in the drywall and found a spot that had been on FIRE!! It's was incredible that our house did not burn to the ground. On Christmas of all days! Jeff took his time and did it right. He called dispatch to reschedule his calls to ensure he had the time to finish the job correctly and it was no problem. I can tell you with the highest confidence, if you ever have en electrical issue ( of any kind) you have to call JM Electric and ask for Jeff. I'm sure by the quality of employees I have dealt with, all the techs are just as good. I can only personally speak for Jeff. When I asked about pricing before he started, Jeff was very upfront and honest as well. Once he realized what he was dealing with, he again discussed a fair "ball-park" price before pulling wire and starting the major repair and was well within that mark when he finished and cleaned up. more

Our experience with JM Electric was positive. We had an accident that cut off power to our garage and called JM based on their being on the troubleshooter referral list. We received a fair estimate and when we called to schedule the service it was simple and smooth. The electrician that completed the work was professional and we were charged the exact amount of the estimate. more

Shane was very polite, very careful moving his ladder around, took time to put on and remove booties each time he had to go to his truck, he explained what he was doing. Jim was fantastic. Our appointment was late on Friday and he ran through everything with me and showed exactly why it wasn't working properly and how to tell, but foremost the service was well above expectations, the quote was very reasonable considering the time it took. It all got traced to a needle size hole in a wire shorting a 3 way switch that blew a breaker and effected the sharing breaker. When I do a couple more jobs in my house in the future I WILL REQUEST JIM!!! He was very maticulous and wouldn't have been satisfied until the job was complete correctly. more

Wes Bucek did an absolutely stellar job with our electrical work!! He set up both the electrical permit and the city's electrical inspection, arrived on time both days, July 12 & 13, 2012, explained exactly what he was going to do, answered all our questions, walked us through the new panel once it was installed, and let us know what to expect with the city's electrical inspection. He cleaned up everything after he completed the work. Wes would make Mike Holmes, of "Make It Right" fame, truly proud and Mike would list Wes as one of the GOOD electrical contractors (in his Good, Bad & Ugly categories). Wes replaced our early 70's circuit panel, upgrading to one that meets current codes and provides spare circuits for future home remodeling. He installed GFI outlets in our kitchen, bring those up to code, and fixed our incorrectly wired hanging light. He also did a complete Certified Home Electrical Inspection and gave us a detailed circuit panel schedule, as well as the list of things he found wrong with our electrical system. The circuit panel upgrade passed inspection with flying colors and the city electrical inspector said, "Good electrician!" and "Perfect!" to the quality of Wes's work and the way he grounded the electrical system to an 8' deep ground rod and to our water main line. We are absolutely thrilled with the new and SAFE electrical system and the job Wes did. We're so pleased with JM Electric and look forward to both working with them again and referring them to others. more

Wes called and said he was running early, so he was able to arrive 45 minutes before our scheduled window. He listened to our concerns/questions and answered/addressed each one. After looking at the main breaker panel and checking the suspect circuit he advised us on the best course of action to update/correct our panel. He wrote up and gave us a detailed quote and explained everything on it. We are so thrilled and impressed with Wes and JM Electric! I have needed several types of repair services on my condo this summer, but JM ELECTRIC INC. was by far the best company. They were extremely professional when I called to make an appointment, and they fit me in the same day I called after looking at the schedule and seeing a cancelled appointment. When we were thinking about installing an attic fan in our home, we compared several electricians. We felt that JM Electric was far more educated and experienced when it came to the Airscape attic fan. They spent time with us explaining the system and it's benefits. They were professional and on time. We are very happy with our Airscape attic fan. Our home does not have air conditioning and the Airscape attic fan keeps the home comfortable even on hot summer days. more

We had an unknown electrical issue causing a breaker for our house smoke alarms to continuously trip. Within 15 minutes of arrival, the JM electrician had identified the problem and proposed a solution. Less than 30 minutes later the work was complete and electrical connectivity working correctly throughout the house. Excellent work! more

Jeff handled my project estimate: backyard landscape lights that included 14 well lights, cable connection, & transformer install. I interviewed 3 other people & they didn't have the confidence to answer my questions or offer a plan. Jeff was very professional, listened to MY request vs. only lean on his ideas...and was very collaborative throughout the process. Recently Jim came by for a service visit on a nonfunctional gfi circuit that the "other' elctricians had made some fundamental flaws on.I was impressed with his professionalism and efficiency in getting the problem solved. Jim was honest and a straight shooter a rare quality missing these days in alot of folks.
