Excellent Tree Removal 1/19/2009

Today we had a giant oak tree removed from our back yard by JL Tree Service. We were really worried about it because many of the branches hung over our house. Scheduling this work was really easy, in fact they were even willing to postpone doing work until the winter months in order for me to get the 15% discount. They were most definitely the cheapest in the area. They arrived on time the day of scheduling, bright and early, and worked all day long. They were really safe, professional and I was overall very pleased with their work. I will certainly use them again and would suggest others use them as well. more

Big Job 4/27/2007

They were recommended to me by my regular tree guy who couldn't handle the big job I had. JL removed 17 trees, about 10 of which were 40' high oaks and poplars. I wasn't here that day, buy they did a good job, removed all the brush, ground all the stumps, etc. for $5800. They were the lowest of three bids I received. I'm about to call them for another big tree I need removed. more

Scheduling issues 7/22/2006

JL was recommended to me by Cravens Nursery. JL estimator was low pressure and didn't use the "well, these are going to be difficult" etc. Pricing was well below what several services had estimated the year before (until a male friend from work got the esitmates for me and the prices plummeted). I was so glad to find a place that would deal with me fairly and up front, I thought. BUT, for the first appointed time for removal I wasted a vacation day from work. Until the third time I called, at 2pm (appt. time was 8-830 a.m.) an dwas finally told one of the crew called in sick and no one would be coming to the house. I was livid, but they agreed to set it up for that Saturday. No show, no call, but admitted they hadn't noticed it on the schedule offered to do the following Saturday for 10% off (their web site offers anyway). They claimed to have called, but I had my phone within arms reach in the morning and in my bra where I CAN'T miss it, the rest of the day and checked my office p more
