Camp Hill location
My company recently contacted JDK for a business luncheon. The luncheon was only for about 20 ppl, very high end fortune 500 business men and women. They insisted on charging us an extra $237 for a waiter to stay through the event, about 2 1/2 hours. We explained all the many reasons to them as to why we did not need this service. Our order consisted of the typical ""lunch"" food, sandwiches, soup, chips, cookies. The idea of needing a waiter to stand there and hand out sandwiches seemed extranneous. They (JDK) expained that it was part of their ""standard"" of service and would not budge, also telling us that since we would be using real china they would need someone there to make sure it was taken care of. My manager, although offended at this as we have used other catering companies such as Premier Catering and NEVER had this comment made to us, even offered to give them a sizable deposit for the china. but they STILL wouldn't work with us. After speaking with my manager further they said they would call us back. When they called back, they said they would be willing to work with us in not having the waiter there, BUT would still charge us the same amount as before. I'm just telling you our experience with this company. When you're running a business, you need to be customer-oriented. I don't care who you think you are, you should never make your customer feel like a second-class citizen. I mean, I think fortune 500 CEO's probably know how to handle china. (duh)
