JK Cafe, offers good authentic Korean food. Try out Bibimbap, its excellent. I even got a fully customised california roll for myself. Ask them for Aditta rolls :) they will give you one with love. Try their coffee flavoured ice cream milkshake. Its perfect in the afternoon :) This restaurant makes me feel at home, the couple is very cute, humble and warm. more

JK Sweets - Pass the Bi Bim Bop! 5/3/2006

Open late, JK Sweets is a stone throw from the NWU campus. A combination soda fountain, ice cream shop, and Korean food spot, this place offers a wide range of culinary options. The first time I went I ordered the Bi Bim Bop and it kept me coming back for years. more

Great for Late Night Cravings 3/16/2006

As an NU student, this place is great for midnight snacks because it's open until 3 a.m. I have only tried their ice cream and korean food, so I can't attest to the subs, sandwiches, and desserts, but the korean and japanese food is pretty good. I'm partial to the bibimbop. The portion is big and you get miso soup with it. It's a great addition to have the displays in the window so that those who aren't familiar with the various Korean entrées can get a better idea of what they look like. I don't think the owners speak a whole lot of English, but they're quite friendly. The place looks strangely like a Ma's and Pa's diner, but it's clean, which is the important thing. more

Great food and not just kidding 8/15/2005

JK Sweets' Bibimbop makes the world go round. Some of the other things on the menu -- such as the semi-tasteless sushi -- aren't worth a second glance, but other items are terrific on the taste buds. The name of the restaurant seems to imply that it's heavily dessert oriented, and while the green tea ice cream is indeed amazing, don't discount the food portion of the menu as well. more

best korean place in town 8/10/2005

Their entrees look good and taste good. Bibimbops definitely. (fried rice I wouldn't recommend, but I ordered mine at the end of the day..) It's open late night every night-- has chinese food, subs, sandwiches, every ice cream flavor you can think of, desserts, sushi, salads-- it's right next to south campus... the perfect addition to college late night munchies (or any time). more
