J & J Seal Coating & Asphalt

If there was an option for less than 1 star, this company would earn it. When their employee was striping a parking lot that we were parked in, he got over-spray on our two vehicles. When we went to talk to him about it, he immediately began swearing, yelling, name calling and threatening to have our cars towed. We explained that we were customers of this business and there was no signs, cones, sting, etc to notify people that striping was going to take place. I asked for his bosses name and he yelled that ""I am the owner, my name is Jason, now what?"" While we were walking away he was threatening us. A little bit later after we left, he called his friend and demanded the business owner call us back so he ""can show me how they take care of business"". The owner is a jerk and settles business issues with violence instead of like a true gentleman that runs a business. My advice is to not let this ""man"" anywhere near your house. more

I called to have my driveway sealcoated and crackfilled. While at home I noticed the J&J crew pull up to my house and dump a bucket of sealcoat on my my driveway. I came out of the house and to my eyes they had 1/4 of my driveway done. They did not blow off or sweep my driveway before putting down any sealant, nor did they do any crackfilling. A week later and I still have sealcoated multch on my driveway. When I called the owner Jason to question this, I was asked ""How do you know they did not fill in the cracks"" I said because I was home and came out when I herd the crew pull up. After several days later I get a call from the owner saying he had someone fill in the cracks. He then says the cracks were not that big and he does not like crack filling because it looks like dog poop (but he used a different word) he also mentions that I did not ask for a crackfill (even though the bill from him says Seal & Crackfill). The owner asks me why do you think the crew did not want to fill in your cracks. I said because they were in a hurry. I said the crew did my driveway so fast and put such a thin coat of sealant, I could walk on it withing 10 minutes on a 80 degree day. Then the owner (Jason) starts to swear at me. I explain all I wanted was a good job (Sealcoat & Crackfill) and I did not feel that I got it, on the first time. If I could give him less then a star I would. Do yourself a favor STAY AWAY!!!!!! more

They sprayed on such a thin coat of sealant that you could see the original drive coating in many parts. In a few weeks it was all gone...looked like it did before they came. They claimed they got some bad sealcoat from their supplier and would come back and redo our driveway, but all we have heard for 6 months is excuses. No action. One star rating is too much. Cons: Sealcoast washed off within weeks. more
