Beware of this guy! We hired him because he was putting in our neighbors yard. Let me rephrase that. He was SUPPOSE to put in our neighbors sprinkle system. Our neighbor gave him $2500 to do his yard in the fall of 05. He couldn't do it then and guaranteed our neighbor he would be the first in spring of 06. Well spring came and he did a different neighbor down the road. Before I knew any of this I hired him to do our yard. He failed to get the permits from the city. He cut our cable line twice. We had to cancel payment just to get him to come out and replace dead sod. We did pay him once he replaced sod minus the stop payment fee. Meanwhile my neighbor fired him and couldn't get his money back from him. Part of the deal was to service the lines in the fall,to redirect the sprinkler head so our siding wouldn't get rust damage. We were also suppose to get a 2 year warranty. Well we found out he didn't service our lines and we are having all kinds of problems with our system now to the point our grass is dying. I believe Jim Haybeck of J & H Irrigation is a scam artist after reading the first review. Sounds like he burns a customer in the beginning of the year so he can buy supplies to do other customers. If you are have experienced problems with him please contact me neiko1967 at yahoo dot com. Address provided does not exist; PO Box provided belongs to a church for a long time; took deposit and did not do work (no showed on 4/6/07); phone number given as ""direct line"" was disconnected; numerous unanswered complaints filed w/ Bttr Bus Bur (18 as of 4/10/07); promised to return deposit 3 times (4/16/07, 4/25/07 and 5/1/07) and then each time lied about the agreements; filters payments through parents personal account; every aspect he told about his business was a lie; said his plumber was ""Norgreen Plumbing""...which does not exist; 5/2/07 asked where the check is, Jim Habeck (owner) responded with, ""who cares, the worst you can do is have a judgement against me."" Lied about company's registered name (as of 4/10/07 Sec of State did not have any listing for any variation of his business as being registered, meaning he was operating illegally if that is true). Spoke to homeowners Jim claimed to have done installations for...they never heard of him or his company. Has moved company long ago to a location over an hour away (from Big Lake, MN to Eagan, MN) but claims to still be in Big Lake. Other listings have addresses with same PO Box but in Becker, MN.\r \r This is just the tip of the iceberg. This is roughly 1/3 of the problems and unethical practices we have documented.\r \r If you choose to call man or any of his ""companies"" than I wish you luck. Someone with this track record...would you trust them to even walk in your house, much less dig up your yard or honor a warranty?
