Just got my color done last week with Richard for the 1st time. I'm new to the area and a co-worker recommanded him... Another salon had colored my hair and left it strawberry blonde with yellow/orange highlights......I was horrified!! Richard totally fixed my hair, it's beautiful! He identified that my hair had massive build up and cleaned it correctly and also gave me an awesome cut. He's an artist, a pro! If you are serious about your hair and want someone who knows what they are doing, go here and ask for Richard! more

Carrie: made my grey dissapear. She is amazing with color, for men or women. No one can tell I have color they just comment on how young I look(: Carrie's prices are less than the big salons and her skill perhaps superior. Carrie is allways upbeat and makes my day! more

Richard gives the best cuts and color I have found in Charlotte. He cuts my hair dry, which makes much more sense to me. I've been to Modern, Carmen, etc, and his work is better than anyone I have been to. Unfortunately it costs about the same as those big name salons, but with Richard you're paying for talent rather than just image. Pros: Great cuts and color Cons: Cost more

I have been going to Richard Graham for about 20 years now and I wouldn't go to anyone else. He does my cut and color perfect each time and always has something new to show me with products and shows me how to get the same results at home. He did a new Brazilian hair straightening treatment on my hair in April and it was absolutely wonderful, healthy and shiny all the time. It's really important to him to maintain the health of my hair, while getting the best results. His salon is a real pleasure to go to. The people are really nice and it's very relaxing for me. I have lived in Charlotte for 14 years and I've been to just about every salon in Charlotte.... And believe me you must go to to Beverly at J. Graham and Company for next hair color and cut. She is most friendly and knowledgable stylist I've ever been to. Beverly keeps up with all the new color and cut styles and helps me look my ""hair"" best!! And the prices are so reasonable.... Along with a fabuluosly friendly and clean salon atmosphere.... Beverly also is very aware of environmental and community issues... She has introduced me to many events in Charlotte and has helped me in so many ways beyond just a stylist... She is my friend! Thanks Beverly! You're the best! more

I go to Carrie Smith at J. Graham for my color, and she is the BEST in Charlotte. Upon moving here a few years ago, I searched high and low for a great colorist but ended up unsatisfied every time. Then my friend insisted that I try Carrie. Now when I see someone with bad hair color, I have a strong urge to take her by the hand, give her Carrie's card, and whisper ""She can help you. She works miracles"" in her ear. Carrie's specialty is making your haircolor look NATURAL. No more brassy-blonde highlights that wash you out. She'll find a shade that matches your skin perfectly! She is great at listening to what I want and knowing exactly what I'm talking about. She's super easy to talk to and quite funny, too, and she'll be honest if she doesn't think the look you're envisioning will work with your hair. A bunch of my friends go to Carrie for both cut and color and can't imagine going anywhere else! Beware, though--you'll find yourself criticizing other people's dye jobs! I go to Brandi Staples at J. Graham, and I cannot say enough about how great she is. I have referred four or five people to her already. The atmosphere is great and the location cannot be beat. Brandi is very knowledgeable, and I have used her for cuts and color. I would suggest her to anyone I know. I used her for my wedding updo as well and she did a wonderful job. She is always on time and consistently does an amazing job. Pros: Ambience, Parking, Service Cons: None that I have seen more
