J & G Pizza & Steak House

I'm a local gal, and J&G is a near weekly ritual for my husband and me. Between the two of us, we have tried nearly every item on the menu, and you absolutely can't go wrong no matter what you choose to order! The Pizza is phenomenal, and when my older brothers and their families are in from out of town, we ALWAYS have a J&G Pizza night. The cheesesteak sandwich, spaghetti, charbroiled chicken, steak, hamburgers....all great....i meant it when i said there are no bad menu choices. My 90 year old grandmother has been going to J&G since it opened, and now that she doesn't cook much for herself, she has J&G on speed dial!! It's great for a date, a family with kids of any age, or for a group of friends meeting up for a meal. The family who owns and personally manages the restaurant will take care of you when you are there.....I agree with the other reviewer who said it was like ""their family invited your family over for a meal"". Another great thing is the prices are so very good.....lower than the typical chain restaurants....and the food is better! Gotta say, of all the places to eat in Middle TN, this is my favorite. Its a great Mom and Pop kind of place that has a phenomenal salad bar, great cheese steak sandwiches and amazing pizzas. I once asked the owner where they get their frozen pizza bases from and he laughed and said they make them from scratch every day! Its hard to find anywhere like this anymore... Highly recommend it and i always take out of towners there, they love it too! more
