J Alexander's Restaurants

My grandparents and I at Jalexanders and got food poisoning or some sort of cross contamination that made us all sick we had to be hospitalized. Jalexanders refuses to take any responsibility for it- saying we could have gotten sick some other way, only common place we were together, and we all were sick with the same thing? I'm just asking that they pay the medical bills- not trying to make money off of this! A shame that the company can't take responsibility for making people sick- would not recommend eating at their establishment. more

I was not in the least bit impressed. Soup of the day loaded baked potato soup was WAY over salted to te point that my heart nearly palpitated and I couldn't finish the megure amount the portion provided, my prime rib was completely over salted but was cooked well (very difficult to ruin a prime rib) and the smashed potatoes were piled high but never given time for the literal lump of butter, that looked like sour cream, to melt so I bit into a heap of butter. My girlfriends salad was alright but the chicken on it was cold. Our drinks were kept full which was nice but I can feel the water being sucked from me by all the salt. Wouldn't eat there again even though the mood was great inside and service was great. Food was not up to par more

Basic American Bistro menu but food was very good with great attention to detail and presentation. Enjoyed it very much! more

I think this place has more variety than Houston's but it's not quite the same. I like it and go here often, and appreciate the menu selection. Very friendly hostesses. and friendly service. a nice alternative to Houston's more

I have been here quite a few time and everytime a think...WOW! this place is awesome! The food is excellent! BEWARE ....The portions are HUGE! I have the seared tuna salad (Which is an appetizer) as my meal! It was huge! Very Tasty! If you do make it through your dinner and want to attept desert...The warm carrot cake it OUT OF THIS WORLD! Soooo delicious! The cost per plate is well worth it. more

Nice Menu with a wide selection. From burgers to fish dishes. Started off with the Fire roasted artichoke appetizer. It was superb, and also a very inventive way to prepare the dish. Baby back ribs were great as well! And if you do grab a bite here, you have to try there delicious Mac and Cheese as a side, fantastic.. more

J. Alexander's doesn't offer the most exciting menu (typical American-bistro), but the food is prepared well and the service is excellent. I've eaten there many times and have yet to have a bad experience. \r \r Some of my favorite menu items include their prime rib or New York strip paired with J. Alexander's homemade mac 'n cheese. The Mizner salad (loaded with bleu cheese and bacpm bits) is also worth trying. more

We love J Alexanders! Food is always great. Service Outstanding. Just come early because they don't take reservations and it's always very busy! more
