Izzy's Pizza Bar & Buffet

This is a discriminating/racism complaint against Izzy's pizza. On 02/07/2013 our family visited the Restaurant for my niece Destiny birthday party. Izzy's restaurant is known for collecting dinner payment after you have completed your meal, but on this date Mr. Frederico stopped my family of three as we entered the dinner hall looking for niece birthday party by yelling you need to pay before you eat and if you do not pay then you cannot eat. We explained to the manager that we would like to make sure that our party has arrived before we would make a payment. This seemed odd to us so we asked a few families who were there in groups if they had to pay prior to dinner and we were told NO!! The manager did not stop there he taunted us until we paid for our meal and even tried to charge us for additional person who was not with our party, and argued with my Husband about how many people we brought in the dining hall. We were appalled how he treated our African American family, again I would like to stress this was a stereotypical case, clear racism and discriminating. I called headquarters and spoke with a Donna Carver, who says they are going to implement additional training around treatment of customers and how they are to pay if you are part of a group, however does not take care of discrimination concerns my family has. more

It's getting to the point where the only restaurants I go to on a regular basis are places like these, where all you can eat is the rule, and Izzy's is one of the best. Like the commercials say, its simply good food, prepared perfectly. My family and I have dined here countless times, and not one complaint (I'm reviewing the one at John's Landing that took over Mazzi's; it's the closest to me), except the road construction outside got a little annoying (of course, not Izzy's fault), but that seems to be over with now. The fried chicken and Venitian pizzas are particularly memorable. They have even been giving out coupons! Great service, as well. Pros: All you can eat, Lots of seating, Excellent value Cons: Small plates, Dining room temp hot more
