My first exposure to '""green""' cycling was superlative due to the excellent personal service by Rudy and Grahm ~\r Upon G's ,suggestion to my needs ,the via Rapido was def a custom choice for my recreational/urban needs ~\r Hav been by store a few times to scope out new accessiories (mirrors ,lites ,etc) ~\r Rudy eats/sleeps electric bicycles ~ he is more than happy to finetune/ tweak to owners' personal needs ~ \r \r Recommended to anyone interested in putting a little '""zip""' into their ride ~ RUN ,DON'T WALK ! more

I went to the IZIP store looking for a bike (not specifically for an electric bike initially) and some accessories. They have cool and cute bike accessories, cool helmets and such. At first, I decided to rent a bike. They do offer free test rides but I wanted to make sure I was 100% ok with the idea of even owning a bike, I'm more of a car girl, don't hate me! Anyway, I loved the fact that I could use my own energy to pedal the bike but when it came to the steep hills around Santa Monica,Venice and Los Angeles, I loved that I could use the electric bike for what it's meant to be used for - getting me over those hills without breaking a sweat. I'm now a huge fan of electric bikes, and love being able to get out an about, even used my IZIP electric bike to get to work the other day. Needless to say, I found the IZIP store here after an internet search and so happy I did. Customer service here, can't beat it either. The told me the offer it free when you buy a bike from them, probably won't need it though! more

I had the best time here! To prove how great of an experience I had, I made a citysearch account just to write an review!!! My friends and I have not really done anything special this summer and the idea to go biking came up. We found this place and got a great deal! made an appointment and when we got there, they (Rudy and a worker) had our bikes ready and explained to us how to use it in great detail! we've never ridden electric bikes but got the hang of it really quickly. we biked to the beach and had the time of our lives! we would most definitely come back again!!! Once you try one of the bikes, you wouldn't want to leave without buying one!!! I LOVE THIS STORE!!!! more

We just moved back to CA from MA and needed a form of transportation to get me within 20 miles of home. Back and forth thinking about Vespas etc...just couldn't settle with the fact that there are so many accidents involving them, then there's the added cost of registration, license and insurance, it just didn't make sense. My husband was at Floyds getting a haircut and came to pick me up a couple of doors down. In his hand a brochure for Izip..I thought wot? Nah, not me...that was until we walked in to check them out. The store is modern, clean and stock filled...so many choices, I thought my head would spin, until Ethan asked me what I would mainly use the bike for...that narrowed it down to 2 bikes! Perfect...that makes it easy...next thing you know, I ask for a test ride, my husband, myself and Ethan took a spin. Me on a Izip E3 Metro and my husband an Izip Zuma. We took a hill nearby, didn't know until I reached the top, I cruised there in top gear! Laughing all the way. The feeling is like nothing else, waaaay too much fun and just bizarre after cycling for years, this takes it to a whole new level. We got back and I asked how much for both, yep, cycled out with both bikes, because they are bitching! It is THE perfect solution for me to travel around the beach and surrounding suburbs. Better still for a car, paint and motor freak, my Metro was way beyond gorgeous...the paintwork, the styling, the comfort and it was just released the day I bought it...even the serial number is number 1. OK, enough raving, Ethan & Rudy are so knowledgeable, no hard sell (there really is no need once you get on board one, it's a no brainer) beyond old fashioned customer service, it was such a friendly, pleasant experience. No question was too silly or could not be answered and we get lifetime service. We took our bikes from Venice to Manhattan Beach yesterday, a breeze all the way, used about 70/30 pedal/electric and had a blast. We passed by people with a puzzled look on their face and probably upset more than a few die hard triathletes on the bike path when we took on the hills, giving into some throttle action! By far the best bike rental at the beaches, beyond clean and in good shape, they don't provide clunkers that break down or just look downright dirty, they are quality bikes and very fair and reasonable pricing...recommended for singles, couples, friends and family. Can't wait to take this home to Australia next summer...might even have to bring a few more along for family...will be awesome riding on the coast. Zip 750 is a great! It has great acceleration. It gets me around town with ease. I'll buy another one of these for my mother and father when they travel. more

This Izip Store is unique and super clean inside. I am so happy that Izip has finally brought some bikes down to the beach. There are so many bikes that you can purchase and the staff is more then helpful in finding the right bike for you, whats also great is if your not sure about what to do you can test ride or rent a bike so you KNOW its the right fit. I have had many Currie Technologies made products and I can honestly say that I love EVERY one. I wish that more people would get these bikes and save themselves some money (for gas) and our environment. Double thumbs up to Izip!!!!\r \r more

I recently bought a electric bike for myself as an alternative to driving the 12 miles each way in my car through LA traffic and the folks at the IZIP Store were wonderful to deal with. They set me up with a Via Rapido which is a great street ebike that is a pleasure to ride. I was unsure as to what model to buy but they allowed me to take extended test rides on all the models that I likes and this one was just right. Ethan and Rudy -- Thank you! more
