I gave this place several tries, and each time came away disappointed. The food is decidedly mediocre at best: greasy, not particularly tasty, and made with low-quality ingredients. To cite just one example, the meatballs -- the mainstay of any Italian restaurant -- are rubbery and taste almost like manufactured meat. I would bet that the ground beef iscombined with some non-beef substances, but frankly I'd rather not know at this point what they are (since I've eaten the meatballs a handful of times already). Even the pizzas are disappointing. They're so greasy that whenever I get takeout, I use several paper towels to sop up the excess grease before lifting a single slice to my mouth. Italian Cravings is so close to my home that I really wish I could give it a higher rating. There aren't many good Italian restaurants in San Clemente. This one is definitely not one of them.
