I took my dinner club Eight Friends Out to Istanbul Grill 2 nights in a row. Wow! This place was highly recommended by a club member, and boy, was he right about it! I'm a vegetarian, and I appreciate real food--fresh food, and this place has it. It's like your mom would make--if she were Turkish! Of course, I love humus, dolma and the eggplant, and the hot sesame bread. We all had different kinds of kebabs, and some members had a huge mixed platter with soup. I loved the veggie kebabs, especially the marinated mushrooms! We ended with specialty Turkish desserts like the Turkish Delight (a honey cake), Baklava, and my favorite--sweet rice pudding. We ended the meal with Turkish tea and coffee--with our heads ""in our cups"", seeking our future in the designs. Zubeyir was the most gracious host. This place was a real treat in all ways!
Pros: Cheap, Fresh delicious food, Warm & friendly staff
Cons: not much parking
