I like it a lot! 11/17/2010

I became a member of Issaquah Sportsman Club just recently, and I must tell you guys that I am a very happy that I did that. Range Master Don is helpful, polite a knowledgeable and always ready to help and accommodate. I am in the wheelchair and he has even offered to cut range table to make a more space for me. Yes, they don't sell ammo but that should not be a deal breaker! You can buy an ammo online a much cheaper than at any other range. more

Danger 3/31/2010

I was a long time shooter till the rangemaster (Lori L.) decided she could sell guns/ammunition to felons. They have a board which you can post guns for sale. Lori took it upon herself to disregard federal and state laws and sold handguns and rifles to known criminals with histories of violent crimes. After many conversations with the club president and the Board of Directors, their suggestion was for me to just shut up and shoot somewhere else. Nice place to stay away from. more

The only outdoor range on the Eastside for Nubs 6/23/2008

Unlike the other two people who reviewed this place... I'm not gunna get my knee-pads out to suck-off this business. This place straight-up sucks! This has to be one of the most disorganized gun ranges I've ever been to, and it's such an eye-sore that it should get demolished and rebuilt (or just buried). This place is really geared towards people that want to be members (although I'm not clear why you would want to be a member there). Pray to God the woman at the front counter isn't on the rag the day you go because you will get ALOT of attitude and snide remarks (most remarks are made under her breath and behind your back). Besides the fact that they don't have ammo there, (It's a gunrange btw...) you don't really get to pick how far away you want your target. It's first-come, first-serve to get a lane with the target position "fixed" at the range you want to shoot at. You also have to post your own targets during a brief "no fire" period were everyone gets to walk on the range. Don't shoot too fast or you will swiss-cheeze your target early and have nothing to shoot at while you wait for the next "no-fire" period 15-20min later. With only 3-4 targets at 25yds, don't worry about bringing your handgun to shoot either. Most of the targets are setup for rifle use anyways (60-100yds). Non members are limited to 10rnds at a time and they bitch about rapid fire (even if you are controlled). The one thing I can say that I liked, was the fact that they had tables, chairs and benches for resting your rifle on to sight. more

A great outdoor shooting range for everyone! 8/19/2005

The Issaquah sportsman's club is not all that it sounds like.. Its an outdoor shooting range located up a dirt gravel road behind the high school, and you don't have to be a member to shoot there! Its a fairly well maintained range, with 100 and 50 yard rifle ranges, and 25 to 5 yard handgun ranges. You can shoot both for the price of admission, which i believe is 10 dollars. But bring cash as they don't take credit or debit cards. They also don't sell ammo there which is unfortunate but they do sell targets.. You may also want to bring your own spotting scope as they only have a couple and usually get taken up. My favorite range! more

The best outdoor shooting range near seattle! 8/12/2005

Issaquah's sportman club is probably geared more towards people who want to be members, as the price of admission is a little steep, but its an outdoor range and the best part about this shooting range is that you can shoot rifles and handguns for the same price, most ranges charge you for one or the other, or if you want to do both you get charged double (at most other ranges), Like the Kenmore range which i also will review. The Issaquah sportsman club has a lot of friendly people, I've never had any problems with rude people unlike at wades guns. In fact most people at the sportsman club helped me to learn to shoot better. and these were not employee's! just friendly shooters. There is usually one range master on duty, they don't take credit cards, only cash. Its 10 dollars to get in, they don't sell ammo either, but they do have targets, and water and soda if you get thirsty. There is a bathroom to wash up after wards, they are usually open till 6 tho in the winter they close at dusk. (so as early as 4 or 5 i think).. During the end summer early fall , a lot of hunters go here to sight their guns in. So try to attend during the summer! its a great out door range, and they don't have really bizarre rules like other ranges ( see Kenmore range review). My favorite outdoor range! more
