Island Pasta Co

Nothing spectacular... the atmosphere is nice, and it could be REALLY something... but it's not.. it's just okay. For the price, I can make "just okay" pasta at home. It's not bad, but not great. The place does fill up quickly, but I personally think it's because there aren't very many other places to go, or people just don't know any better! Maybe some of both. more

I have been to Island Pasta three times and I can't say I've ever had a great meal there. It is a cozy place and there is an area to eat outside which is nice. The staff is very congenial and the service is good. It's just that the food isn't that great. The salads are good but, in my opinion, the pasta is just very average. The pasta was overcooked both times I had pasta and the sauce was just very unexciting. If I could give it 2 1/2 stars I would but I have to give it 2 because I just can't bring myself to give it 3 stars. If they could improve upon their food a little bit it would be a good place to go because it is a nice, comfortable place to eat and it's a good location. more

I went for the first time last week, and I am looking forward to my return visit. I tried the lobster bisque, absolutely WONDERFUL!!!! Salad, was crisp and fresh, really enjoyed the different salad dressings they had, nothing "normal" about them. I had the pasta with the spicey sausage and it had a very nice little kick to it. Others I dined with had the Thai pasta, and they said it was delicious, just like pad thai noodles only better!!!! Portabella ravioli was very yummy too. No one was disappointed with the meal and we all look forward to our return visit. Service was prompt and efficient and we did not wait long for anything we requested. The evening we went was a street party night so it was very crowded however everything moved so quickly so it didn't feel like waited long at all. more
