I like the Island Market because it’s one of the last mom and pop grocery stores in town. You can see the old buildings of the other mom and pop buildings around town that didn't survive, and it makes me appreciate this one for still being around. It’s very convenient for those on Cliffside and the Island if they need milk or other supplies at the spur of the moment. It is very small and it doesn't have nearly as many items as the national grocery stores. They have frozen dinners, candy, milk, toiletries, canned items, some produce (that’s usually not great), and beverages among other items. The prices seem to be OK (maybe a little higher) and the staff is friendly.
