I am absolutely amazed this place is still in business. The owner is the rudest individual I have ever met. In May 2011, I sent my daughter and her friend into the store at Town East Mall to look for a prom dress. They were there for a very short time, when my daughter called me crying, asking where I was, because she wanted to go home. I walked over to where they were and she told me the owner refused to let her try on any dresses, because she was too big. He said she would bust all of his zippers. The dress she had put on hold at the previous store was a size 18, and they had no problem with her trying it on. However, the store owner, Mohamed Hafez, refused to allow her to try on the dresses she had picked out. He did this in front of other customers and in a very degrading and loud manner. She was completely humiliated and embarrassed. She dropped the dresses on the floor, told him to screw his dresses and his store and started walking out of the store. Then the owner started yelling at her, telling her she was fat and to get out of his store. He chased her out of the store degrading her as she left.
When I went into the store to talk to him, he saw my daughter in tow behind. He immediately began yelling at me. I told him he was rude and had verbally assaulted my daughter. Then one of the customers in the store, who had witnessed what had happened, started telling me what she had seen. The owner started yelling at me so that I could not hear what the lady was saying. I could tell this was going to go nowhere, so I asked the man for the manager’s name, not knowing at that time he was the owner. He refused to give me the information, threatened me and told me to get out of his store and take my daughter with me. I told him no and to call security. He kept yelling and refused to call. I eventually left the store, went to the store next to his, and asked for security to be called. When security came, I told them what happened and asked for them to get the manager’s name. When they came out, they told me he was the owner and said I should file a complaint with the mall. They said if enough people complain, the mall takes it very seriously.
When I got home and looked for information about the store, I was not surprised to find so many negative reviews about the store. But I was most shocked by how he has treated a lady who had MS. (The link to the news story about it is below.)
This man deserves to be run out of business. He has no idea to treat people and should not be in a customer service oriented business.
Please do not shop at this business that actively discriminates.
