Famous for fried chicken 7/7/2006

Family style country cookin' is what you will find at this long-standing establishment. A dinner includes your choice of meat (highly recommend the fried chicken) along with several sides including mashed potatoes, vegetables, beets, cottage cheese, etc. Everything is served family style so it's a great place to take a large group. Also an excellent spot for a rehearsal dinner or other family event. more

The restaurant s menu includes skillet fried chicken, fried shrimp, baked tilapia, walleyed pike, and beef tenderloin and Black Angus sirloin steaks. Its meals are accompanied by pickled beets, cottage cheese, apple butter, and a wedge of lettuce with house dressing. The Iron Skillet Restaurant also serves sherbet, coffee and hot and iced tea. It offers a range of cocktails, domestic and imported beers, and sparkling, white and red wines. The Iron Skillet Restaurant additionally provides carryout dining services to guests.
