I cannot understand how the previous posters could have had such a negative experience at Into the Wardrobe. I have been going there for the past few years and it is where I have purchased more than half of my closet. As for the owner and her staff, I could not pick out a nicer, more helpful group of women. They know names and tastes and every time I go in, I am cheerfully greeted, asked about various things in my life, and sometimes am even shown an item that is similar to one a bought weeks or even months ago. They could not be more personable or non-intrusive; they only help when help is needed, which is ideal in a salesperson. And regarding the prices, they are very reasonably marked. After all, this is not a ""vintage"" store where the clothing is grungy and out of date; it is a consignment shop, which sells contemporary and very high-end designers. I purchased a Prada sweater for $50, a Jil Sander blazer for $70, and a Ralph Lauren Black Label black cocktail dress for $45, to name a few steals. If you have never been to ITW, please, do not be assuaged by the negative comments. It is simply the best second hand store I have EVER been to and I'm from just outside NYC, so that is saying a lot.
Pros: Staff, clothing, location
Cons: absolutely nothing
