I am Intimate meals with Chef Carmen and Kiss the Chef, AKA, Carmen Reed. I am a chef with many years under my belt. Educated, crafted and mastered at cooking and creating the perfect ideas for food, entertaining and simply good eats. I was born in Cape Canaveral Florida. Raised in the South but love the North. I have two beautiful daughters, a son-in-law, and the perfect Princess that calls me her GiGi. I am very family oriented and certainly love cooking for all our gatherings. I started out in the kitchen with my grams, (grandma). Teaching me the basics and then some. She taught me to make my first biscuits from scratch, how to fry the perfect chicken and all fresh vegetables. My mother stepped in as she helped me to perfect making gravy from a roux until I got it right. When my grams allowed me to make hog head cheese right from the head of the hog, I believe that is what catapulted my creativity in the kitchen, however. I was raised on farm animals and fresh foods. So fresh is a must in my kitchen. I graduated from Le Cordon Bleu of Culinary Arts in Atlanta GA, in 2010 with an Associate’s of Occupational Science in Culinary Arts. Upon graduating, I went straight into becoming a restaurateur. Also opened a catering business, only to include private catering, meal preps of all types and desires, and teaching the disabled (or my special sides, as I call them). I have my kiss the Chef’s product line to wet your pallet with my infamous jams and jellies and my seasonings made fresh. I am also the author of my first cookbook (Come Cook with Me) that will be published soon. It enriches my life to be able to feed people through food, love, laughter, and travelling.
