I recently spent an entire Sunday afternoon looking at cars at Interstate Toyota. We found a Prius we loved and negotiated a fair price with 0% financing. All the paperwork was signed, we were congratulated, we got the keys to the car and drove it home that day. Fast forward 24 hours to where we get a call saying they actually can't give us that deal, and can we come back and sign paperwork that will raise our interest rate to 2.9% and increase our monthly payments by 15%. I expected so much more out of Toyota and am frankly disgusted at their complete ineptitude. I have never heard of a dealership back-tracking on a contract let alone calling a customer back to the dealership in an attempt to charge them more. We gave them back the car and want nothing more to do with Interstate Toyota. I know car dealerships can be shady but this one takes the cake. We'll be taking this up with the larger Toyota corporation...
