I got hooked on scuba diving when I tried a beginners class on a trip to Cancun....in Mexico it was an hour in class, an hour in the pool, then off we went to the ocean. When I tried to do the same thing in Myrtle Beach a year later, I was told that to dive in the US, you need to be certified to do so! So, off I went to International Scuba. After 40 hours of classroom training (every Tuesday night for several weeks) and about 6 hours training at the local YMCA pool, and then a few ocean excursions, including an overnight trip to Rhode Island, I was certified and ready to go..and MUCH better prepared than my little daytrip-dive in Mexico more

In 2000 I became interested in scuba diving. I had visited a few shops in my area, but it seemed that none of the people that I talked to in those shops understood that not only did I want to recreationally dive, but to perform dive rescue with my local volunteer fire department. All they wanted to do was sell me the most expensive equipment they had without addressing my particular needs. While driving one day I saw International Scuba Diving and stopped in. I spoke to people there and explained my needs for diving. They took the time to sit down with me and go over the various training that they offered that would fit my need. They then went over the equipment I would need to both recreationally dive and perform rescue diving. Since that time, I have become a Master Diver, dove around the world and perform my tasks as a rescue diver all thanks to International Scuba’s training and equipment. No one takes care of the little guy like ISD. They talk to you to find out what your needs are and how you plan on using the equipment you are interested in. They matched my needs to my budget. We have been associated with ISD inc. for as long as they have been in business. The dive trips are the best, offering exciting dive/travel experiences and we have always had fun. We are signed up for a trip this fall to Bonaire and next years trip to Egypt “The Trip of a Lifetime”. As for service and equipment, Joe has gone out of his way to help us select and maintain our dive gear. Their facility is easily accessible off a major CT highway and is stocked with everything a diver needs.
