The SceneMilwaukee has a long tradition of hosting circuses: Over 100 shows, including the renowned Ringling Bros. Circus, originated in Wisconsin. So it's no surprise that clown aficionados flock to Milwaukee for a dose of poof-haired nostalgia at this off-the-wall museum. The International Clown Hall of Fame has an extensive collection of clown costumes and props (honk, honk) donated by the likes of Lou Jacobs, Emmett Kelly Sr. and Red Skelton. The ExperienceLocal and national acts perform in the Hall of Fame's small auditorium, located in the lower level of the Grand Avenue Mall's Plankinton Arcade.
