Unlike Miller Honda Culver City, a dealership that tried for years to skin me alive, Mike and Lotsi, the super friendly and honest owners of Auto Specialists, are always there to give me the best advice on how to take care of my car and best price available, saving me thousands of dollars over the years. The Best! 12/10/2009

When I was looking for a mechanic I checked the internet and found that all the reviews fot International Auto Specialists were 5 Starred. Needless to say I was a bit sceptical. The job I wanted done was the installation of a side mirror. I got quick and friendly service (thanks Lotsi and Rafael) and the cost was less than 30% of what one of those chain outfits were going to charge me. You can have full confidence in these guys! Pros: They'll treat you right. Cons: None more

International Auto Specialists are the best . 8/28/2009

Excellent service.My car did not pass the smog test. After visiting few local mechanics with no success on passing the smog test a friend of mine recommended International Auto Specialist. At the shop the problem with emission control was corrected and fixed in the couple of hours. more

i barely found this shop in the DMV lista of smoke test. but they are really wonderfull to trust. very honest. i was not able to get my car fix with them but for other reasons(extra) but if i can they will be my mechanic. really they dont try to get the money out of you. very well explained. evrything clear. more

Trustworthy! 9/22/2008

I have been going to International Auto for about 10 years now. Yes, Lotsi and Mike are wonderful mechanics, and terrific human beings. I trust them implicitly. They tell me what to fix, what's not worth fixing, and I know they always give me a fair, or more likely, a great deal. They have an incredibly loyal customer base; in fact they have a wall covered with letters and post cards from people who have moved out of the state, and tell them how much they are missed! They do excellent work, and as long as they're around, I wouldn't go anywhere else or recommend anyone else. You will love them! Pros: Excellent work, excellent customer service, excellent price! Great people, great auto mechanics 7/25/2008

In life, if you can find an honest and competant auto mechanic, life is better. I've been going to Mike and Lotsi's for over 25 years. In the beginning, they fixed what other mechanics screwed up. If they tell me I need something, I know I need it. They would not try to sell me something I don't need. I don't even bother asking them "How much will it cost?" anymore. I know it will be a fair price. Sometimes, it has been better than fair. Sometimes, on a quick job, I was charged only for the parts. And when they fix your car, it stays fixed. You don't have to bring it back next week. I have over 200,000 miles on my Toyota and it's still running great because I have a great mechanic. I must admit, my life is better because I found Mike and Lotsi. I just don't worry about car stuff anymore. I give them my highest recommendation. Mike and Lotsi - the true honest mechanics! 4/14/2008

Mike and Lotsi are the best businessmen you will ever have a chance to deal with, especially as mechanics go. The first time I took my car there I had been informed by another mechanic that I needed my brakes worked on immediately. I didn't trust that mechanic, so I took it to International Auto Specialists on a recommendation from a friend. An hour later Mike called me and asked why my car was there. I thought it an odd question, so I reiterated to him that I needed Brakes. Mike then asked me who had told me that. I let him know that it was another mechanic. Mike simply laughed and told me to come pick up my car since I had over 50% left on my pads and everything else looked good. When I showed up and asked how much I owed, Mike laughed again and told me I didn't owe him a dime. That was 5 years ago and I have been visiting them religiously since then. If Mike or Lotsi says something needs to be done, I believe them. They take the time to really talk to you and explain what is going on and to only fix what really does need fixing. On another occasion, my A/C wasn't working. Ford would only sell the entire system when all I really needed was one part replaced. They went out of their way to find a shop that would sell the part I needed so I didn't have to waste money replacing parts that were still good. You can really trust these guys!
