Quick and easy service 9/10/2010

I've been going to Michelle for the past 3 or 4 years for my brazillian wax. She's had the same staff since I've been going (which is important to me because it means they must all get along well and must be tight like family). Michelle is super quick when it comes to waxes. I'm usually in and out within 15 minutes. Although she's quick, the results are always awesome as if she took her sweet little time doing so. I'm so looking forward to a manicure and pedicure when I can afford to do so. more

Amazing staff and top notch skin care 8/16/2008

I have been going to see Allison for facials for almost a year now and my skin has improved beyond my wildest dreams! Every facial is relaxing and super enjoyable and I would recommend her to anyone. Just to give some background... I only had a facial one other time before coming to see her and it was at a fancy resort in the Bahamas; Allison's work is so much better than what I experienced on vacation that I just can't imagine wasting time seeing anyone else. She is incredibly knowledgeable and always willing to answer your questions. Pros: knowledgeable, friendly staff; great prices; amazing services Cons: a little bit of a trip from the T if you live in town and are without wheeels more

Best waxing around 3/9/2007

I have been waxing for years. So when I recently moved to the area I looked all around for a good waxing technician. I had a tough time - tried a few places on Newbury street, etc. but was never really happy - until I found Interlude. My first time there Michelle (the owner and Waxing Queen) took the time to go over my previous experience with waxing, explained the products she uses (hard wax, no strips, it's the best!), and what to expect from the whole experience. I saw that a previous comment stated the waxing room was small - but really how much room do you really need to get waxed?? The business is located in a converted house so it is very cozy, you feel like your at a friend's house. And the staff certainly makes you feel that way as well. Pros: Highly skilled, ""maintenace plan"" pricing for waxing, GREAT customer service Cons: parking can be a pain more

Lots of Personal Attention 2/28/2007

I'm not one to spend a whole lot of money on my hair so I usually go to Dellaria salons and the hair cuts are decent but I feel like I'm a number. At Interlude the people were really nice, and the hairstylist really tried to find the right look for me and to be honest she did an awesome job. She was also really friendly and the whole experience felt comfortable, which for me isn't always the case when I go to a hairdresser. This is the first time someone's done my hair and it looks styled not just shorter so I have to say I'm a fan. I live in Malden, so its just nice to know there's a place where they do good hair that I can walk to instead of heading to the city and it actually cost about the same or less depending on the place you go. DIFFERENT FROM THE REST 1/27/2007

I had a full day of beauty and could not pick which service was my favorite. Every treatment was delightful. I have had treatments in Boston, California, New York and Egypt! This little place employs a staff that I have never experienced before. Great detail in their work and they are caring, warm and friendly. That is something I have never found before. Exceptional work and personalities. The spa is a bit hidden but what a find!! more

Superior Service Cozy and Wonderful 12/11/2006

I found this little piece of heaven through a friend of a friend. The staff bends over backwards for everyone who is there. I have never been to a place like this. Very friendly and cozy salon&spa. Great Pedicure area.(i just looked in) I had the best facial, foil highlight and bikini wax EVER. As long as I live in Mass, I would never go any place else. The feel of Interlude is very warm, like a friends house. more

Great Place to get your hair done! 11/14/2006

This place was great. So much individual attention! The stylist did exactly what I wanted and really spent the time with me. Plus, the prices are reasonable! I got highlights and a cut for under $100 and bought conditioner too. There is one stylist there so I don't need to tell you her name, just make an appointment! Pros: Personal attention, small but charming atmosphere, great service. Cons: Must Park on Street and only one stylist so make your appointment in advance. more

Best Brow Shaping Ever! 2/8/2005

My brows are tough, the tech spent 15 minutes discussing my needs and shaping my unruly brows. They came out PERFECT! I was referred there for a brazilian bikini (maybe next time) The place is cozy and clean. The staff is super friendly and helpful.
