Explore a Cave 9/19/2005

Inner Space Cavern is located in Georgetown, so it was just a short trip from Austin. The tour of the cavern was very educational and the guides were very friendly and helpful. My daughter's favorite thing about our visit was getting to pan for gold, she thought this was the greatest. The prices are a little expensive but if you visit their website they have coupons you can print to receive a discount. more

Family Fun at Inner Space Cavern 9/13/2005

This was a great escape when then in-laws were in town. The cave itself is really neat and easy to navigate. The guides were pretty knowledgeable. I think my favorite part about the cave tour was when the guides led you into a room and turned off all the lights, bathing you in complete darkness. It was actually really neat, even for our adult-only party. I'm not a fan of cave tours, but had a good time with this one. more

Awesome Underground History! 8/26/2005

We went to Inner Space Cavern on a whim (bored one day), it’s located right outside of Georgetown so it was close. I was really impressed with the tour, our 8 year old loves being underground and she thought the idea would be so cool. It wasn’t real crowded and I enjoyed it because I didn’t have to crawl through any small spaces like other caverns. It's so amazing to think about how people lived back then by looking at the structure, the lakes inside the cavern and the wall drawings. We talked about it for days! The ticket prices are a little high, but their website has printable coupons for a discounts on tickets. There is a mining station to pan for gemstones and a gift shop. Overall, it was a great learning experience for all of us. Will go back again! more

Neat to experience with kids 8/20/2005

Inner Space Caverns is only 20 minutes away from Austin, and offers a look at our city from another level. They are right off the highway, with that blinking strobe light beakoning everyone to stop by. The ticket prices are a little steep, but the tour is very relaxing and great for young and old people, since there is no heavy climbing to be done. more
