We reserved a place for a large group of people weeks in advance for the Thanksgiving dinner.
We got there a few minutes before the time we were supposed to be there, but we were seated 45 minutes later without being offered any drinks from the bar.
After we were seated we ordered the food from the fixed Thanksgiving menu, and a few minutes later we were told that they ran out of a few selections on the menu, so five of us had to change their selection. So far we were still ok and just enjoyed our time together, but the first course came ONE HOUR later(!) – 1:45 minutes after we got to the restaurant…
The food was not very good, and there was no stuffing served with the turkey – we don’t know if they ran out of that or they just didn’t include it with the Thanksgiving dinner.
In addition, they ran out of bread rolls during our long wait for the meal, and we were served toasted old bread instead. The diet soda was flat and they brought us two more servings before they switched it to a bottled drink.
We asked for the manager but he NEVER came to talk to us. The server was very nice and tried to do his best under the circumstances, and we even tipped him extra for his efforts. They did waive the charge for the drinks (a few sodas and a glass of wine) and gave us complimentary champagne, but we feel that a sincere apology from the manager in person would have been the right thing to do.
We did not let that ruin our night, but it is a shame that we have to share this with others – we will not go back there.
Yes, the place is nice, but that's it.
