I stayed at this inn for my honeymoon last year, and it was wonderful. Set in a rural portion of Sonoma County, “the land where cell phones don’t work,” it was the perfect isolated escape from San Francisco’s city bustle just an hour south. There are two portions – the main house, which is set up like a typical B&B with bedrooms that open onto a common hallway, and the private cabins, which we had. The balcony was a wonderful place to watch the sun set high over the little main street below. The in-room refrigerator was filled with bottles of water, and was a good place to stash the free champagne the Inn gave us. They also delivered a basket with coffee, tea, muffins, to our door each morning, which was nice. The chef-prepared breakfasts in the dining room each morning ranged from good to astounding – the lemon eggs were like nothing I’ve ever tasted before. The Inn also makes its own granola, which is really good and available along with fresh fruit and yogurt, at breakfast every morning. Ask the innkeepers to book you an appointment at Osmosis spa, and try the great little Mexican take-out place down the street for an in-room dinner.
