Bad Repair Work 11/28/2011

I brought a Upright Bass in to have a bridge cut, Not only did they cut it wrong and ruin my bridge they also would not refund my money. This is even after the owner of the Modesto shop Bernard said his tech did a horrible job, They told me I could pay more if I wanted it sent back to Pleasanton and they would repair it correctly. Now I have to buy another bridge and have a reputable music shop cut it correctly. DO NOT TAKE ANYTHING TO THIS MUSIC STORE. They do horrible work and do not stand behind their repairs. more

wierd weird weird people 6/17/2011

The owners and their families are totally a mess. One owners wife is a cow and has a son who is retarded but somehow has convinced her husband that her son is a genius. He's an idiot who can't graduate from high school or get his GED. The other owner is a little strange too. Let's just say that I wouldn't let my son alone with him. Anyone who spends that much time with students is questionable IMHO. They have low end merchandise and no one who knows much about it. Take your business anywhere else. more

Awful customer service 6/27/2008

I don't know about the modesto shop, but the Pleasanton shop is a joke. This is the worst music shop ever! I rented an instrument here and eventually bought it for 5 years and have come here for everything from books to repairs. I even had piano lessons here. I was really disappointed by there service and their owner/manager. I brought my instrument for a repair and asked the guy working there how much it would cost. He said that they would call for an estimate before they start working on it. A few weeks later, they called and said it was finished. I came and they charged me $56!!! and when I complained the manager said ""It's not even that much money""!!! When I further tried to agrue my point that I did not authorize any work to be done on it, he just argued and talked over me like I am a little child trying to steal from him. This was a horrible experience and I recommend you NEVER shop here unless you want to pay a lot and be treated like dirt. Pros: Good instructors for lessons Cons: customer service bad more
