Long time patient 2/7/2011

I've been a patient of both Ingber and Provaznik ever since I was referred to their dentistry in 2005 by a very pleased patient of their's whom I met at my last employment. I hadn't seen a dentist in quite some time as a 28 year old woman and worried about visiting a dentist. My co-worker assured me they were the best, and quickly I concurred after my first visit of many. I've gone to both dentists for all my work which includes cavities, crowns, invislyn and basic routine cleanings. Both dentists are very personal and very good at what they do. They have made payment exceptions for me, seen me at very early or late appointments that fit my schedule and have always followed up to ensure I was happy with the work completed and felt great about it. They have great hygenists on their team who are kind and talented and always ensure your comfort while in their office. I switched jobs for a brief time and my insurance changed. Having gone to other dentists in the area during this time confirmed how much I wanted to go back to Ingber's dental office. Other offices were not as talented, never followed up and actually charged much more for services. I returned to Ingber's dental about 1 year ago and will never go elsewhere because both dentists are so personable and professional at the same time. I feel the previous reviewer "AustinSteve" must not have given the dentists the chance to make the situation better or is bascially lying because I had a similar incident as things like crowns can infact "accidentally" get dropped or shaken out of someone's hand during these procedures, and everyone on the team was so kind and scheduled for me to come back several times until I was completely happy. They would never accept having the work completed elsewhere and losing any clients because they most certainly can make any bad situation better. They are the best dentistry in the area and I feel if you're interested in visiting Dentists who genuinely care about patients and their work, you would visit Ingber's office. Mistakes may happen in the dentistry field, but you want to ensure if they do, you are with a dentist who knows how to handle the sitation and make everything better with top customer service treatment and that is why I stick with them and have returned. I trust their work, I feel great and my teeth have never been as healthy as they are now. more

Never Again! 11/19/2010

I should have known better after visiting Dr. Ingber's website, as it proclaims him as one of the "finest dentists in America". I went to him to have a crown placed on one of my teeth, a very straight-forward procedure. But for some reason Dr. Ingber performed at the level reminiscent of an amateur practitioner. First, he poorly placed a temporary crown. I do recognize that temporary crowns aren't expected to be perfect, but there's a big difference between feeling a little bit of friction/rubbing and feeling like the crown is protruding well above my other teeth. Second, he let a dental assistant (he has 14) place my permanent crown, which might explain why she dropped it down my throat. As a result I had to have another temporary crown placed while I waited an additional two weeks for the laboratory to create another. Third, he poorly placed the permanent crown, having to repeatedly shave it until he drilled through the enamel. Rather than admitting the crown did not fit, he offered to shave my upper tooth . I left his office and sought out another dentist, who finished the job in less than three weeks. I think Dr. Ingber at one point might have been a fine dentist but since has compromised the integrity of his practice. more

zero-anxiety dentistry 10/12/2010

I found Dr. Ingber after trying 3 other dentists who were on my insurance Provider List. Did NOT have a good experience at those other dentists. (Dark, cluttered, offices, dirty examination rooms, disorganized front desk people, and just plain scary dentists!!) Dr. Ingber's office, on the other hand, is *great*, and I've been going there for 8 years now. I recommend him to all my friends. I've been so spoiled there that I don't think I could ever go back to expecting less from a dentist office. The hygienists are thorough, professional and friendly, the doctors and supporting staff have great "chairside" manner, and the front office is always organized and can easily answer any insurance questions you might have. (I think they even have an insurance specialist on staff.) And for emergency dental work that his office doesn't perform (like the root canal that I needed the day before leaving DC for a week-long business trip) he'll get you in to see specialists who run their offices in the same way he does. The best compliment I can give, probably, is that I don't ever get anxious going to the dentist anymore. more

Professional Dentist! Best Dentist in Washington D.C. 1/31/2010

Per Kelly D: After years of having braces and numerous dental procedures, my smile was still a source of frustration for me. In business meetings as well as my private life, I was always aware that my smile caused me to feel a sense of insecurity. I was constantly trying to hide what I felt were imperfections with my teeth. During the first three years of my time here in Washington, D.C., I met with several dentists to discuss moving forward with getting dental implants to replace two false teeth. After each appointment I would leave disappointed and frustrated – never feeling completely at ease with the office. The first morning I met with Dr. Ingber, I was instantly impressed by his professionalism, knowledge, and kindness. I left my initial consultation enthusiastic about the procedure and anxious to get started. My admiration for Dr. Ingber and his staff has continued to grow stronger with each appointment. Dr. Ingber genuinely cares about his patients, and takes great pride in his work – two of the most important qualities any health care professional must have. Due to his great work and his staff, my smile is no longer a source of frustration, but rather a source of pride and confidence. Pros: Great Cosmetic Dentist more

Great Dentist all Around! 11/17/2009

I have been a patient of Dr. Ingber for over 30 years. From my initial visit Ken, first and foremost, struck me as someone who was not only extremely competent, but someone who was deeply concerned with the well being of his patients. Over the years my initial impression of Ken has been confirmed time and again, up to and through my appointment at his office last Tuesday. Ken practices at the highest level of his profession and is a good guy to boot Pros: Great Dentist, My Dentist for over 30 years! more
