Docs with hearts 6/13/2010

have at times had problems getting past the receptionist to get an appointment for my chronically ill child. i just asked them to ask the nurse to call me back -- they,did promptly!\r Great Docs -- Crenshaw -- THE BEST EVER -- Dr Colvard -- also a great physician with a great bedside manner! We really couldn't ask for better pediatricians in this area --- the rest of group --Huffman-Parker, Hamilton, Allen -- Like I said, all caring physicians and they all work side by side, so you can't lose! more

Very disappointed 6/1/2010

The physicians were very knowledgeable, courteous and patient. The office staff however, were exceedingly rude and condescending on all three occassions I had the misfortune of dealing with them. We are finding a new pediatrician, which is a shame because we rather liked the doctors themselves. more

Very satisfied 4/30/2010

I have two children, ages 12 and 16. I've had nothing but good experiences with the office staff and professional staff at I&C. It was a little difficult getting plugged in the first time. They like to do a well visit physical and exam and get records from the previous doctor before they start seeing your child so don't expect to get an appointment for a sick child they've never seen before. They've always been able to work my kids in the same day when they were sick! more

Rude on the phone 2/16/2010

I can't really speak to the quality of the medical staff there as I couldn't get in the door. We hadn't established our children with a pediatrician since we moved, and I called to make an appointment for my sick 7 year old. The woman that answered the phone would not make a new patient appointment for a sick child and was quite rude about it in the process. Her recommendation was for me "to take him where ever I had before." I most certainly will NOT be taking any of our children there. more

Patience is a virtue... 9/30/2009

I have two children who use I & C. We really like all of the doctors, but my son's favorite is Dr. Crenshaw and Dr. Allen. My son has lots of anxiety when it comes to dr's and hospitals. He has been seen by so many because of the orthopedic birth defect he was born with, and Dr. Crenshaw and Allen are very PATIENT with him and understand these anxieties. I appreciate the way they make him feel at ease while he is there. I would recommend them to anyone! The nurses are not too bad either :) more

Helpful. 8/20/2009

My daughter has Iris and Aretna coloboma, if it weren't for one of the doctors there, it would have never been noticed. She has extremely dark eyes, so, nobody ever noticed it before. If one of the doctors wouldn't have ever noticed, no one would have ever realized my daughter was partially blind, in one of her eyes. Were fixing this now. Everything is going to get better now, because of them. more

I loved this place. I could always get an appointment, could always reach someone on the nurses line... no complaints whatsoever. Everyone was so nice. more

Caring 9/26/2005

My 16 and thirteen year old has been going here since birth. They have amny different doctors to see but they love Dr. H. He is awsome and so friendly. All of the doctors are great though. We usually dont have too wait too long either. more

    Our main office is located at 421 West College Street in Florence where we provide sick and well child care.  Our in office laboratory and radiology services are also located here.  Our Well Child Center is at 1605 Mockingbird Court off Darby Drive where we provide well care only.  Our providers admit to and see newborns at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital.  It has always been our mission to provide a comprehensive medical home to children in our community.
