What a great find in Miami Beach - Enjoyed the quaint atmosphere, the delicious food - Bahmi goreng, satay and spekkoek. Take it from a Dutch girl - this place is a gem. more

The best Indonesian food in miami. Nice presentation, nice and friendly people. Nice atmosphere. Delicious food from appetizers, main course and dessert. more

Does not compare to Amsterdam's rice tables. But not bad for the US. Not many Rice Table choices here anyway. Great attempt to bring varied food styles to Mismi Beach. more

There are so many reasons to love Indomania, but the food, the warm environment, and the enthusiastic hospitality of the owners and staff are the three most important to me. I try to eat at Indomania about once a week, because I always crave the fresh food with its nuanced flavors. I am not a meat eater, and for appetizers I love the vegetarian spring rolls (sumpia), the corncakes with chili lime sauce (fricadel jagung), and the delicious and always fresh urap urap salad. If a soup special is ever available, do not pass it up as every soup I have had at Indomania has been a memorable highlight. As a main dish, I always enjoy the fish or shrimp options (especially the shrimp with peteh beans), or the tempeh or, if I go with others, I can always find many tasty treats within one of the incredible rijsttafel options--vegetarian or not. My friends rave about the lamb, duck, and other meats. Gotta love the Indonesian green pancakes for dessert and the spiced cake, which has about 30 layers and is probably the only item on the menu that is not homemade as the owners bring it from the Netherlands. The owners, one of whom is the chef and the other of whom works in the front of house, are both unbelievably sweet and charming, as are all the staff they hire. If you're looking for a delicious meal in an attractive and warm environment without the South Beach hype--run don't walk to Indomania! more

Being an Indo and having viewed their menu from their website, I was eager to try some of the dishes that my mother made, and taught me to make. I started with the frickadel jagung which looked more like egg foo yung!!! It was flat and round and greasy with some flavor. 8 dollars for three tiny pieces is way too expensive. I also ordered the lamb sate which was dry and not very flavorful. Again overpriced at 8 dollars. I also ordered the chicken bami, which came with beef and not chicken. The bami was terrible and way overpriced at 18 dollars. A glass of wine will set you back 12 dollars, ridiculous. \r \r All in all, mediocre, small portions of food at sky high prices. the Bali Cafe in downtown may not have as extensive a menu, but their food is authentic and delicious with huge portions and very reasonably priced. more

I was totally disappointed by my first time experience at the Restaurant. I think the food is not fresh and was not even warm for our table of four guests. The quality is under from what I expected and over priced by the portions we were served.\r I would not go back again or recommend to anyone who knows how to eat or cook. more

I really love Indonesian food and I have enjoyed it many times in Europe. The food at Indomania is good but not really authentic. The chefs are both Dutch. I missed the lentils and the chutneys, etc. \r \r Therefore, the cheapest rijstafel for $24/person is way to expensive. We indicated to the restaurant owner that one of us (out of 5) does not eat pork nor beef and we also asked to substitute the pork by eggplants. That did not happen even though he said he will do something special for us. There was way more pork and beef than chicken! Since he had a big hip-hop south beach crowd to cater to he would not have time for us anymore! \r \r One glass of wine (a rose cabernet) was $12 - I propably can by more than one bottle for that price, and the glasses were not even filled correctly.\r \r We waited forever for the checks and had to realize that they were all wrong and tremendously overcharged. \r \r Well, we have tried it and wanted to give them a chance - they failed and we won't recommend it nor come back! \r \r Another of these wanna-be south beach places where they think the almost south beach location (not really south beach on 26. street) justifies the prices. \r \r A waste of money and time!!! more

Tastier than the best I have had in Amsterdam for 40 years more

We went to Indomania not knowing what to expect. We chose the options to have a variety of different tapas sort of dishes. We were so impressed. The food was so very flavorful and tasty. The portions were just enough so two of us felt full but not so full they had to roll us out of the restaurant. The chef came out and greeted us as well as the manager who own the restaurant. We accompanied our meal with a lovely bottle of sav blanc (they had a lovely wine and beer list) It was truly the BEST meal I have had in a very very long time!!!! GO EAT THERE\r Thrilled in NJ more
