A great place for a walk 3/27/2006

In addition to the wonderful art, the Indianapolis Museum of Art grounds are well worth the visit. Featuring beautiful walking trails and greenspaces, you can wander the carefully landscaped paths for hours. The greenspaces are perfect for small gatherings or picnics. Enter from Michigan Road, use the free parking, and enjoy this little slice of nature. more

kids are free 8/5/2005

we are always on the lookout for new things for our kids to do and more importantly that are free, this is a great educational experience for anyone, and they do offer guided tours if you call and plan. this will be a great musuem to continue to take our kids in the years to come. more

Don't Miss the new IMA 8/3/2005

Free admission on Thursdays. Newly renovated art museum. Parking is convienent. Great collections. Take your kids and treat them to some art culture. Walk the gardens for breathtaking sculptures. Convenient location at 40th & Michigan Road. Kids are always free & so are kids youth groups. College students receive a discount w/ school ID. more

Museum of Art 7/27/2005

The IMA is an average museum. I have been to some nice museums, and must admit that I was very disappointed with the IMA. There are some nice exhibits, lots of great art, but there seemed to be something missing. There were no other patrons when I was there for one thing. I guess I don't really have a good reason, it's just that I've seen much better works of art in other places. more

Beautifully remodeled building and grounds 7/8/2005

Since the new remodel, the grounds are prettier than ever, and the exhibits remain amazing. I'm sad they took out the Civic Theater, but this is a great way to spend a day for free. You only pay additional for special or travelling exhibits. Be sure to check out the summer film series, as well. more
