Indian Valley Campground

My husband and I have never left a campground or foreit $25 for a night stay just to get out! This was a nightmare! It was all mud. the camp spaces were so tight you couldn't tell one site from another. The 'roads' were so congested with vehicles, bikes, and children you couldn't hardly fit through to go where you were told. There was not even enough room to back our 21' 5th wheel off the road in the spot we were to have and no place to park the truck. That was after being told by owner how to park and supervising us parking. There children and unleashed dogs ran everywhere without supervision. Toys, pools, bikes and clothing just everywhere! I have never witnessed such kaos. I was on the phone calling other campgrounds without ever getting out of the truck. You can not see the campground conditions from where you register. We never unhooked, we pulled right back out of the spot and they charged us for the night. Unfair but didn't care if that is what it took. I would never attempt to more

Beautiful campground with clean showers and river is clean and great for camping on, canoing, and fishing. Also have a nice indoor pool. Pool hours s/b 10AM - 10PM but is only open 11-7 during the week and 11-9 on the weekends. Booked camping cabin (no bath) VERY NICE w A/C, fridge, micro, toaster & coffee pot for $50 WOW! Warning: DO NOT BELIEVE THEM WHEN THEY SAY YOU CAN SWIM IN THE POND! Beach on river clean and great to swim-take your own tubes/rafts down river and walk back. If handicapped, do not rent cabin - VERY long walk to the bathrooms at the back of the park, or up a STEEP HILL to front. Pit toilet in between was VERY SMELLY. Canoes in good shape and affordable, drivers polite but not all are friendly. Mini Golf is VERY mini. Kids played, but too small for grown ups. Room for bigger course- build it and they will come? Lastly-Google Map is WRONG - WEST (not east) on 108, on S side of road (not north). Insiderpages is right! more

My boyfriend and I and some friends planned a trip to go kayaking and camping and the only place open on short notice was this campground in Middleville, MI. It was initially very convenient that you set off for kayaking at the same place you camp but it was very, very unorganized. We were not told where we were going when we got into a 1970's rickety van and we were repeatedly asked (5+ times) what our name was and what we reserved, a kayak or canoe. We get in the van to be dropped off, no seat belts, no a/c and no information about where we will end up or how long it will take. We start off kayaking with 10 other people and we are constantly fighting each other for water space. 3+ hours later, we reach back to the campground where there is no one to help us take the kayak out or help us. No instructions. One of the most expensive kayaking places around too. Camping is not much better. We had 6 people, 3 tents and each one of us paid $25 for a small spot on a 12x12 patch of grass next more
