My boyfriend and I went here for a specal weekend and ended up stuck in a rickty old smokey room. The springs were filthy and indoors surrounded by fake plants. The bathrooms were...

A nearby Rejuvenate with out flying! 3/16/2006

This is the place to stay when visiting Idaho Springs ... to both relax, get a massage and have fun. There is a fun little bar (Sam Whiskey's) on the premises that serves really good Bar B Q and occasionally has entertainment. Weekends you can have breakfast lunch and dinner in the main upstairs dining room, It is walking distance to some fun nightspots in Idaho Springs ... a great coffee shop that roasts their own beans (Java Mtn Roasters) and a really fabulous Italian Restaurant, Mangia! Sicilian Trattoria and Market. Indian Springs and Idaho Springs is a quick and close by destination that makes you feel rejuvenated without flying! more

Your Cheap, Local, RELAXING Weekend Getaway! 2/28/2006

If you need a weekend away from it all, check out the Indian Springs Resort in Idaho Springs! The hotel has three different sections to choose from – the old, historic section (where I love to stay), and two newer sections, one slightly nicer than the other. The advantage of the historic section is, of course, that you are right down the hall from everything, but the disadvantage is that the rooms don’t have showers, only sinks and toilets. Still, I think it’s worth it for the old-time feel of the place! The resort has excellent hot springs: the caves, which are accessed from the restrooms, are delightfully steamy, but if you want to go co-ed you’ll need to reserve a private bath, either indoors or outdoors. There is also a pool that is fed with hot spring water, but that is overall much cooler than the caves or private baths. The resort also has an excellent dining room and a cute gift shop, and it’s located just around the corner from a strip of quaint little shops in historic Idaho Springs. more

Great getaway close to town 2/8/2006

I love this place--mostly for their private hot spring jacuzzi tubs. they have four of them (i think) all privately fenced in and delightfully warm and restorative. I pop in there from time to tome just to restore my sanity. They rent for the hour for somewhere in the vicinity of $20 and they are consistently clean (both the water and the surrounding area). The rooms are nice--nothing posh, but that's not what this center is about. It's more about simplistic relaxation and that they do give you. The rooms across the street in the newer section are the ones I prefer--and they offer King Size beds there. I have never utilized their communal hot springs, but would anticipate the same level of service there as well. Best of all, they are only 30 minutes from town! Take your honey there to sooth his or her weary bones or for a relaxing and romantic treat. more
