I'm from Connecticut and have a fascination with a great restaurant called Ambassador of India in Glastonbury, CT (go there if you ever visit the area), which is considered the best Indian restaurant in CT. Well, since experiencing the food and service at this place, I have been let down by many other Indian restaurants. I've been to a competitor's of India Chef, and the food was sub-par, when compared to that great Indian restaurant in Glastonbury, CT. India Chef is the closest that I've had. I see that there are some people who are unhappy with the flavors, but I think they may have not specified how spicy they wanted their dish. I've always told the waiter (who is very friendly and not annoyingly attentive) how I want my Chicken Tikka Masala and it always comes out perfectly. The Aloo Naan (naan, an Indian flat bread, filled with curry flavored potato chunks--Perfect for you carb lovers!) is great, as are the samosas (which, as a warning, have soy beans in them). If you are unsure about whether the money is well spent, go visit them during the lunch buffet (especially on Fridays, so that you can try the Chicken Tikka Masala, which is rather mild but you can just add the Indian hot sauce to get the flavor to your specifications). A variety of dishes to try for a great low price. Give them a chance, you may be surprised.
Pros: Great food and outstanding customer service!!
