Excellent Paper 4/5/2006

I enjoy reading the Independent. you have to remember taht the Independent Weekly is just that, and INDEPENDENT newspaper so its views are typically taht of an independent publication. You can usually pick it up at indie coffee shops in the area, and what not. They usually give you a different view of the state of things in the Raleigh area than the news and observer does. A great read in my opinion. more

Great Alternative paper 3/28/2006

The Independent Weekly is the best weekly alternative paper in the Triangle. They report news that makes you think and provide different points of view than those you would find in the typical newspaper. They offer interesting restaurant reviews, movie reviews for both mainstream and independent films and they cover the local music scene too. more
