We made arrangements to trade in our forklift and purchase a 2002 Clark CMP70 forklift from Illinois Lift Equipment. We completed the wire transfer mid September and it took approximately 1-1/2months before we actually received the Clark forklift at our facility. We called and emailed on a regular basis to check the delivery status, usually without a response whatsoever or we were given the runaround and never received a clear answer. It was always “one more thing that had to be fixed”, or “the mechanic was out that day”, or “our salesman no longer worked there”. There was a different excuse each and every time we got a hold of someone. When the day finally came that it was to be shipped out, we were told that it had been completely serviced before it left Illinois Forklift, however upon receipt we noticed the following issues right away:\r
\r
1. Crack in the carriage assembly \r
2. Left side steering cylinder leaking\r
3. Substantial leak in the output shaft seal of the transmission \r
4. Leak on oil pan seal of engine \r
5. Master cylinder needs to be replaced \r
6. U-Joints need to be replaced (Note: U-Joints were discontinued so we needed to purchase a new drive shaft assembly) \r
7. Brakes needed to be redone\r
8. Shifting column needed replacing\r
9. Fuel gauge doesn’t work\r
10. Starter needed to be replaced\r
\r
\r
We had to eat the cost of parts and labor for the repairs and here we are four months continuing to have issues with the forklift.\r
