My wife and I were in the mood for Italian food. Since our old favorite Italian place, (not mentioning name) has gone down hill recently, we tried Il Bacio's. It was around 9:00 pm when we arrived and the place was still bustling with families relaxing over glasses of wine. This was a good sign. I was in the mood for traditional, so I ordered the baked spaghetti. Let me say, the sauce was absolutely perfect. Even when I knew I was full, I couldn't stop eating fork after fork. My wife ordered the shrimp scampi and also said that it was great! For desert we shared a slice of the Limoncello Cake. Perfect!! It was fluffy and light and the perfect compliment to our dinner. We definitely have a new favorite Italian restaurant. more

Mike and his charming wife have combined to produce one of the best restaurants in the Triangle. Mike has a remarkable ability to create the best of sauces. The Penne alla vodka and the Frank Sinatra are two of the finest dishes I have ever sampled. I once lived in a town where everyone's name ended in a vowel, but, I never tasted food this good. Anyone who goes to Il Bacio simply for the most excellent pizza is cheating themself of one of the finest, moderately priced culinary experiences in North Carolina. If you just go for the pizza, you are cheating yourself. Further, Mike's wife makes some of the finest Italian desserts you've ever tasted. If you would like an authentic Italian family restaurant experience, Il Bacio will exceed your expectations! more
