I've never understood the overpriced, cheap-feeling furnishings at Ikea. I just don't feel their quality is anything worth coming here for. Sure, a lamp here or there might be okay, but for major furniture like a computer desk, I'd rather go to an office supplies outlet. Their layout is truly strange--almost bizantine in its structure, like a lift maze for a marble. You take an escalator up to the top and work your way down, with no obvious exits along the way, forcing you to go through their entire selection before being able to leave. I'd rather go to a smaller specialty shop. $50 delivery fee.
