We decided to go for dinner during Restaurant Week and once we got there we started looking at the regular menu and figured, what the heck, let's go for it. We started with the III Forks salad at the recommendation of our server and found out exactly why it has been voted best salad in Dallas. The combination of mixed greens, pecans, green apples and blue cheese was deliciously accented with their own house dressing. Then we moved onto the entrées - my husband had the porterhouse steak and I had the Dover Sole. The Sole was unbelievably, melt in your mouth good and the steak was fabulous, cooked to absolute perfection. I could not recommend the food any higher.
As for the service, we were surprised to find that the restaurant seats 900 at a time. You would not know this by the service as it was impeccable. Never did we wait for a single course nor did we ever have to track down our waitress as she was very attentive. The management also circulates and was very helpful and even offered to take us on a tour of the restaurant when they learned it was our first visit.
My family all live in the northeast and I cannot wait to take them to III Forks so that they can taste what good steak really tastes like.
