When we put down a deposit, we were promised a new HI-mac countertop and sink installed before Christmas 2009. They changed the date to January with no explanation and my money could not be returned since they already paid for the material with it. It was supposedly too late to cancel so we had no choice but to wait. Countertop was great initially but the sink we hated since day one. The salesman told us the white sink would be easy to clean and would look great for years. The sink is HORRIBLE. Everything marks. I clean it and as soon as a dish is put in the sink it marks up. After numerous phone calls over the course of months we were given a price of $895 to install a new sink! No negotiation of the price as a good will gesture. Just here is the price and let us know when you want us to schedule the install.
When the job was done no seams were visible in our countertop. After about a year one seam was starting to crack. Once again after numerous phone calls and months of waiting the counter was repaired. Now I have a three inch visible line where the seams is. Contacted Ideal again told them we weren't satisfied. Nothing yet. I guess I need to wait for a few more months and more phone calls for anything to happen.
