Idaho Youth Ranch Thrift Store

I enjoy shopping at second hand stores, but do not think I will ever go back to the Idaho Youth Ranch for a second time. Things were such a mess, the clothes were not well organized at all, the dressing room was a joke, everywhere there was clutter and another mess. They did not have a very good selection of clothing. There are much better second hand stores out there, that are also much cheaper. more

We have long been into thrift store shopping but I have pretty much stopped going to the Idaho Youth Ranch. The store in Meridian is okay and their selection varies like every other thrift store but oftten times I have found that I can purchases a new item for close to the same amount, if not less than what Idaho Youth Ranch would like for it. It's seems like a shame because the money goes to a good cause but I can't in good faith purchase a used pair of kids jeans for $8 when that's what I can find them for brand new and then they will have more life left in them. Their little book corner is pretty cool though! more

The Idaho Youth Ranch is a thrift store that sells all sorts of items. All of their inventory is donated, so you can go every week and there most likely will be something different. Most of the items are used, but they do also have some like new and new items. It's a great place to go to find something one of a kind! more

I'm a big thrift store junkie and love to "hunt" for treasures for myself as well as to sell on E-bay. Idaho Youth Ranch Thrift Stores are a good value as far as thrift store prices. The merchandise they acquire isn't really that impressive to me, as I look for designer clothing and housewares items. I usually don't find much in that area. They do have a great book selection at the Meridian location. They have a separate room that is filled with books. The prices of the books are decent as well, with the exception of some hardbacks. I usually always find something fun to add to my bookshelf when I go in there. If you are looking for your run-of-the-mill thrift store and don't really care if the items are designer or not, I think you'll find Idaho Youth Ranch a very good value for your money! If you like to "hunt" for books or are a book addict like me, this is definitely a place you'd want to check out. more

I love all thrift stores, and the Idaho Youth Ranch is a huge one. They have some of everything, but you really have to be willing to dig through to find things. The store can really turn into a mess, especially at the end of the day. It is hard to manage with a toddler in tow, so go by yourself, and try to find that treasure! more
