Coninued.. A month or two later I decided to email President Valius again, telling him that the situation with Paul Bubb lead me to nothing. I told him I would not ask for help in this field unless I felt like I had other options. At this point I feel like I have reached a dead end and I dont know what to do. That is why I am writing the President to get help. I have probably applied for over 300 - 400 jobs in 3 years. Not even once have I gotten an interview. It is absurd. I am an all american athlete, played semi professional basketball in Germany. I was always a good student, got a 3.9 at Idaho State Graduate School, involved in many activites, etc. I just do not know what to do. Obviously the leadership of this school does not take a personal interest in its students. It is too small of problem for them. I think this is wrong, the point of them offering these courses, degrees, and programs is to educate the students who pay their hard eanred money to paticipate in them. I only chose to participate because I felt it would enhance my career, open doors, and improve my life. It has done none of those. The degree helped me grow as a person and student, but that has not equated to career growth or financial gain. If I had it to do over gain I would not obtain my Masters in Athletic Administration. The school, and its leaders do not have your back. I am being ignored by Arthur Valius. Paul Bubb, lead me to believe he would come through for me and was very firendly, but in the end I was just a nuisance and not worth the time and energy. Arthur Valius is obviosly looking down on me, and it hurts. I am just asking for his help. I have lost respect for him as a man and a leader, because he has blown off one of his own. Someone who bet their futue on his school and the benefits of attending. Anyone have any ideas on getting a job in higher ed, please let me know or any comments, stories, etc.
Pros: Improve educational skills
Cons: Degree does not mean success in real world
